Dialed in a sweet set up and i'm about 2 weeks in flower on my 2nd grow. I snapped a top last night ( just a pinch!) and proceed to just give her a nice trimming. I like to just clean em up 2 weeks in. I have no idea what to do about my hunnys falling over etc? is it too late to toss a net over 'em?? should i just let it ride and prop em up with twine and a stick?? ah golly I know scrog er something like it would be sweet but i'm afraid there too big already, about 24"+ . Anyway when the lights come on i may take a photo for ya to take a look and thanks for the help

net'em, stick a screen on them & push them down to a tolerate level(so they dont snap more) or LST them it doesnt really matter 24" is fine, they'll push/pull down a load, a pinch/crimp in the stem is fine, not really a snap, just like supercroppin, if i understand you right. you can counter tie or yo'yo falling braches if ya dont fancy training em up with support. G'Luck!

cages, hortinet, stakes its all good!

just be sure to suport them with something. What you choose should really be based on your grow room setup. Im sure one option whould be more ideal for you then the other.

also some people say not to prune in flower as it sets the maturation time back a few weeks imo. I like to trim stuff down 1-2 weeks before the flip and give them a chance to recover before I stress them with a light timing change.

if you do a scrog remember the bottom canopy gets much less light, it helps to prune off the growth nodes that get no light, just leave the top couple. You can leave the fan leaves though as they still are funtional parts of the plant but trim off the bud site nodes right above them. your yields will blow up imo

good luck

yeah yeah, thanks! think i may cage em up this time? I'm running and undercurrent in 5 gal buckets and i'm just not sure how to attach to the buckets. Building a screen or putting up a nets seems like it may be kinda difficult at this point

Build a stable wire cage out of fence just wrap it around from the sides..mine just sit on the ground ..because I move my pots a zippy around the top of the bucket threw the fence for ins..

i have pvc comming out the sides so they will not sit on the floor, but i 'm sure i can get it wrpped around the bucket good enough. How HIgh do i go? fence @ HD is prolly 40 bucks?? or some wood and netting cheaper just more work.

Make a simple table screen with 4 legs, dont overcomplicate! set it at 12" +- from the top of ya pots & you should be ok! 2x2" garden mesh is easy to find & easy to fix rigid to a frame which i recommend you do!, use timber(painted), pvc bends too easy for my liking(this does depend on how big the screen frame is of course)! you want a screen rigid & springy, not loose, plants will just push it up, counterproductive!(thats a long word)
If you decide to go vert even easier to set up imo, just more work & thinking on the training!

think about the depth penetration of your light aswell, makes it easier to decide what to do imo! thats the beauty of ScrOG & LST etc! fk popcorn & bottom buds!

no offence paladin, but unless your running vert lights, those cages are unproductive! or what i should say is not as productive as they could be! g'Luck"!

if ya want a productive grow style with multi strains, check out Verdantgreens modularScrOG's, they wicked! if ya wanna go Vert check out Marlo's grows!!

Hey Sc MAN thanks for the DIY. frame it w/ legs? what if i hit the walls w/net would be less complicated> i dont have much room to get in there work anyway. That's where im feeling the challenge is being able to do some traing w net up.

mmm, vert is one thing, LST another, as is ScrOG, id say try to learn to run before ya can walk, Thats if ive read right what you meant? horizontal is gonna be easier to master than a vert, but if your up for the challenge then so be it, just think it out & stay ahead of the game! & the plants! g'Luck man

No, I meant Go horizontal. Just sayn instead of making a frame, could i just attach netting to 3 of the walls and just make one end outta wood.

not a good idea for a scrog screen but ok for a support, but is ok good enough. As long as it works i suppose its fine yeah! might as well just use pea netting with a lil LST!

any garden centre supply store should sell something similar to garden mesh, pull tight & fix with nail staples:

I assume once the net is over the girls, I'll allow all the lil toppers thru the net right?or just let her grow into it ( 12" bent over branches??? ) some are higher than others and they are deff showing some nice tips

i'll be putting the painted frame together tonight and polly setting this thing up tomorrow night!
