Yeah she looks like an odd pheno to me, but you could pop another & it could be exactly the same pretty much, its the trouble when growing out an unknown strain, i rarely trust breeder hype, unless i respect them. id never heard of the breeders you got those from, i always question that.
saying that you could pop another, & it could be the best thing since sliced bread, not really a gambling man myself, but id pop another if i had spaces for multiple plants & a good size grow room! That is the way it goes sometimes. still i bet ya get some tidy puff for yaself!

Yeah, John Innes. I couldn't get no3 anywhere, so had to make do with number 2. I know people who have used it successfully, as did I in my last grow. Could it be that I haven't used mature enough soil? Baring in mind that after its nutrients are gone, you are relying on the added nutes of your choice to feed the plant...

OK, so you obviously know your breeders :) I'd like to try a tried and tested one next time in that case - can you recommend any particular strains? Which is the best site to buy from? Appreciate your help mate

The seed was only a tenner btw. LOL. There was a lot of hype about it as well, which I shouldn't have bought into. I guess I didn't expect a site selling seeds to give it the car salesmen talk :eek:

When I have more spare cash I am going to scrap the closet and make a purpose built box for scrog, so it will be shorter, and I might include a small vegging chamber. Hmmm, I'm still new and the possibilities for the future are endless

well thats a good question, depends what ya like, cheese x's, theres loads, you wouldnt go far wrong with BigBuddha if ya want Cheese or x's of like Bluecheese. Thers loads of good established breeders that carry good genetics, just depends what ya like/want. ill PM a list of Breeders i respect. next time ya buy seed, make sure to check out the breeders & other grows of your strain choice & what people say about it!

seed bay & seed boutique are ICmags own banks, carry alot of good breeders¬)

better still imo, if ya can get ya hands on a proven cutting, go with that, tried n tested!

I've had a quick google and I'm wondering whether my HPS is coming to the end of its life. It's 4 years old, but only used for this and my last grow. Can it go bad without use? Its still bright to look at but then again most lights are

Ill use HPS for 2 runs, then i keep the older lamp for veg & get a new one for bloom, you should get 2-3 runs out of a lamp before they start losing really, they aint expensive, well Growlux,sunmaster aint etc. Not sure if a 4 year old lamp that had minimal use would lose, i wouldnt of thought so personally but idk tbh! if in doubt, use it for your next Veg & get a new one for bloom, thats what i do.

Hey man thats a funny pheno you got there! Id say let em flower for about 2weeks more. For a 150w hps it looks good :)

And as the man said, dont worry do much about flushing, just water with pure water.
I usually water em with a bit more water then usual the last week.

I know a lot of people that have ordered from everyonedoesit.com and always got great service and very fast shipping etc..

Ive tried a lot of Greenhouse seeds and i have to say they are great. A lot of peps dont like em but i havent had single seed gone wrong from them.

Some other breeders i know are good and can recommend:
Barneys Farm (got a lot of cheese!)
You should try Laughing Buddha, a real classic
G13 Haze is also great.
LSD
Sweet Tooth - need i say more?
Big Buddha
Cheesus!
Mr Nice
Critical Haze
Super Silver Haze
Sensi Seeds
Big Bud
Shiva Skunk
Super Skunk
Soma
Lavender - love this one!

Some good strains for scrog:
Big Bang.. ofcourse :) GHS
A.M.S - GHS
El Nino - GHS
White Rhino - GHS
The Church - GHS
Great White Shark - GHS

Hope that helps :)

Well this strain is completely crippled. I'm seeing bizarre foxtailing all over the shop. Those long growths that stretched out for no reason? Yeah, they are still going. Some are 6 inches or more of just spindly growth with very sparse calyx's on them. Even some of these have had additional shoot offs from the side, meaning they are seriously messed up in places.

I definitely gave these nearly 4 weeks of flower under the canopy before letting them rip, and after another couple of weeks they stopped growing, so the stretch appeared to have finished. Weeks later, they decide to grow again.... so strange. The buds on most of these are going to be weird shapes and not all will be compact. I'll get some pics up later.

@ who dat is, temps are good mate, nothing above 80. Its weird because it hasn't happened across all colas, only some - although the lower down ones are obviously OK because they haven't stretched like this, but temps seem fine at canopy :)

Here are some more pics, mainly of the trics. Any opinions? I'm thinking another week;

Any takers? I'm thinking of pulling her soon before I get much amber, which I cannot see yet. The vast majority of trics are milky as you can see from the pics above

I have found this;

http://smokefrogg-growjournal.blogspot.com/2010/04/extreme-foxtailing-business-weird.html

This is exactly what mine has done. Pretty much all over. I've taken a few tops to dry now, and I'll pick a few more over the next week until its harvested. I've started to see some amber trics now and I think harvesting over the next week will be sufficient. When I say my plant looks exactly like this one above, I mean EXACTLY. This pic is what I would expect my cured buds to look like, well, some of mine are like this, others are filled out more;

The foxtailing is CRAZY, and looks like it is the pheno afterall. Will ensure I buy my next seed from a better breeder. I'll get some more pics up once I've cut some more back :)

Blasted a nugget in the oven last night, 110 degree's, 10 minutes, sticky icky icky. Damn, for an oven quick dry it smoked nicely, only very slightly harsh toke although I was on the dregs of my bacci. Tasted nice, and gave a nice soaring high after the initial stone. Giggly. Creative. My aim on Call Of Duty was very snappy, a bit like the honey b. Strange how a smoke of good quality can put your head in such an open, aware space. Cant wait to try this cured.

Will be freezing most of this to cure it for the most part, then moving to jars later. Worked a charm that way last time. So far I've cut down about 1/5 of the grow, its taken a damned long time, there is so much of it. I estimate just off what I've already cut down that I've easily got over 2oz (when dried)
