just a heads up. real gdp, barely stretches in flower. : ) awesome grow bud.
Thanks for the heads up. In that case I may end up giving them another weeek of veg.

Since they will all be flowered out in the single tray I don't want it to be too crowded in there either.

Any thoughts?

At 12:00 this morning I switched off the light to give them the 48 hour period of darkness before flowering to jumpstart the process.

I also installed the exhaust fan with filter so now I can keep the door closed at all times and just use the passive intake from a 4 inch vent.

I will have to monitor the temps over the next couple of days and see if the passive intake is doing the job and if not then flip on one of my 4 inch fans to pull air in while the 6 inch connected to the carbon filter scrubs and exhausts the air out.

Blaze what are your thoughts on that duct muffler, do they really make a big difference?

That would be a huge resounding YES! Having the duct muffler on there makes a significant difference in the noise level outside of my room when venting into the garage.

The only proviso that I would add to this is that it really matters where you purchase it from. I had picked one up from bghydro.com which I had to return because quite frankly it didn't work for anything. This was really surprising since I really like the quality of equipment and level of customer service (excellent!) that BG usually offers.

I picked this one up from Berkeley Indoor Garden Supply and am really happy with it.

Hell yeah clean room man. That filter is huge!
Yeah, totally oversiized for my room. Thanks for the love.

does the 48 hours of darkness prior to flowering really make a differance?
I screwed up and didn't read my calendar properly so I can't say one way or another.

Desertsquirrel who turned me onto this thing is one of the most bad ass growers around here and he swears by it.

nice canopy..that should hit 1lb per light easy...GDP is a nice strain, just keep your humidity levels low because she is susceptible to botrytis due to the dense nature of the nugs...

true this....

been growing this for many, many of years....

start watering with something that is silica based such as protekt, start to finish in flowering.....

towards the end of watering, cut down on watering, letting then droop a tad before you water again.....

I haven't compared the same strain but the first time I switched some plants to flowering I gave them 48 of darkness and they definitely went into flowering very quickly, where as the other times it seems to take 4-5+ days before I really start to see them beginning to flower.

I really hope you're right Prop.

Thanks for the heads up with the humidity levels and the grow shows you have put on. They have really inspired me partner.

Invaluable tips Krunch.

Keep blazing a trail my friend. You are certainly one of the best around here.

Quick questions fellas/gals: Approaching the start of my 3rd week of flower in a couple of days from now.

Can I hit them with a dose of Koolbloom powder and if so at what dose?

I am looking forward to Christmas when I am most likely going to treat myself and purchase a proper camera.

Any suggestions?

And just in case anyone was wondering I am using the following nutes/recipe:

- 5 ml per gallon of Flora Nova but just went to 7 ml per gallon in my last feeding.

- Pro Tekt @ 1/2 tsp per gallon

- Floralicious @ 1 tsp per 5 gallon

- Liquid Koolbloom @ 1 tsp per gallon (although in my last feeding I gave them a spike of the powdered type and skipped the liquid).

This recipe is very easy and straightforward.

I am experiencing some yellowing in the center of the canopy which you can see in the 2nd pic above. I was thinking this might be a Nitrogen deficiency? Since I am using the Happy Frog Soil and thoughts on how to kick the N up?

Thanks for your experience my friends.

And about that camera, all depends on how much you wanna spend :)
Canon EOS 50D is a very good camera.
