I,m goin to run four 4x4 aeroponic tables with 9 plants each.Plan to have four seperate rez,s and four pumps...reason is to contain any bad bacteria from being passed from one table to another.
Question is what pump is best for reliability, how big of a rez for each table, and what strength of pump (250 gph) etc.
also is this overkill running four seperate tables or should I go with with one rez and one big pump, etc.and plumb the four tables together.
Thanx for suggestions

If by any chance you're going to run a perpetual grow, separate tables and reservoirs allow you to adjust your nutrient solutions to best suit the plants' growth stage.

Really never gave it much thought...but I will probably leave that option open and run the four tables seperate like I was thinking in first place.....Geesh I like ICMAG..
thanx for the info...so what size pump should I use for each rez ..(250 mag )?or bigger

I would get a bigger pump, better to have a quicker fill and drain this will drive a better air flow in your nutrient solution. Whatever one you get, have a back up on hand that can be replace quickly, this has saved my ass a few times. Depending on your media your roots can dry out fast. As for a rez a bigger one with keep PH in better check with less fluctuations. You will have to adjust the PH less with a bigger one. It will be more work with 4 rez if you want to make things easier on yourself you might what to do 2 and 2 instead of four but it's up to you.

Try not to buy pumps at the grow shop! Order them on the net if you can wait...5 times cheaper! And or local garden stores at about half the price of the growshop!

I used to run 2 eco-jets and never had a problem with them or Danner Mag drives for that matter. Why bother with separate reservoirs? Just get a Chiller for 1 central res and be done with it. If I were you I would run 2 Mag 7's in parallel so that if 1 pump fails that you still have the other one keeping the plants alive. I would also invest in a UPS backup power source for 1 of the pumps. Buy the biggest one you can afford or you risk crop failure during power outages.

I ordered 2 Danner 950 pumps and gonna run 1 rez for two tables..I did buy them online rather than a hydro shop due to the good price.Ebay is usually my source.
And yes BCMaster I alrady have two cheaper pumps for back-up ..also have an inverter and battery in case of power outage. Also have a diesel gen for lights as we can lose power for days in this part of the woods.I am almost always home and if not I have the boss here when I,m not and she knows what to do if a pump packs it in or power is out...All good advice guys..much appreciated.
Got some Killer Queen and Mr Nice SSH almost ready to pop into the tables.Got some Bog sour bubble for another grow.Hopefully I,ll have a smorgasborg of genetics to dine on if things hold together
thanx for the good tips,a few of which I wasn,t going to use.But best to be safe than sorry
