Vaporizer Advice

Hey folks... I have had a look with the search function and nothing really jumped out at me on the subject.

I am about to buy my first vaporizing rig. I have limited experience with these devices having used a vapor brothers back in the day and a volcano when they first came out.

The Vapor brothers style is cool. Good for the desk, which is a plus. The volcano was more fun and social with the turkey bags full of vapor being passed around.

Anyhow.... I am interested in opinions about what to get. I am about to have a houseful of trimmers and the vanguard is already requesting a vaporizer.

don't buy the portable iohales they are junk.

The iolite is the shit, especially for a beginner. Plus its great for me so I can toke in my car on my breaks at work. Nobody knows a thing.
Maybe if you tried one from 2008 there were some problems..

Its just not good for a house full of trimmers.

WISPR from the makers of Iolite is meant to be a good portable vape, it's been getting good reviews since it came out a little while ago

For home use I'd recommend a SSV or DBV

i love my volcano. best money i ever spent. it opened new doors of taste and high for me.

haven't tried any others except iolite and MFLB. both are ok, but not as a main unit for @home.

i don't know about the whip style vapes, but the first bag in a volcano tastes (depending on strain) absolutely heavenly! mmmmmhmm, the flavors!!!!! :D

i've had mine for ~5yrs - no problems, very very low maintainance

(if you get a 'cano, save some money and get the classic version - digital is a waste of money IMHO and the digital display is just a potential source for problems - K.I.S.S.)

Agreed. The unit rules and is massively popular since it came out a few months ago. review here: http://www.vaporizerreviewsource.com/wispr-vaporizer-review/

the one disclaimer for wispr (and other general portables) is, if you do any high altitude hiking, camping, skiing, etc, the wispr wont work for you. At very high altitudes, due to the thin air, the wispr and the iolite (and many of the other portables) won't function correctly.

the only portable unit I know of that works in high altitude and has been tested as such is the Arizer Solo http://www.vaporizerreviewsource.com/arizer-solo-vaporizer-review/

No need to spend the $500 on a Volcano unless you want the Nike of vaporizers. I have an Arizer unit and works great. Either buy direct from Arizer for $300 or buy off ebay for 1/2 price though no warranty in case something happens.

Around a year after my volcano purchase, if I could go back I would have started with a box vape that I could hook up to my bong as well as a v-rip wand. I would still eventually end up with a cano, but not right away. I would have rather spent money grouping different pieces and then building up to finally topping off my collection with the king cano. There amazing, don't get me wrong, just 650(for a digi) would have bought several other smoking pieces in place of the 1 volcano.

I have almost completely stopped smoking outta bongs, joints, and pipes just because the taste sucks and the smoke is harsh.

I have an extreme q and I love it. Although I don't use it with a bunch of folks like you are planning. I have an attachment that is a little water bubbler piece, but I just hook it up to my bong for better filtration. + it can do both the bags and whip at less than half the cost of a volcano....but if you have the $$$$$$, I would go with the volcano. I don't think I've read of many unhappy owners of them.

Have to second the "Extreme Q", for combination of effectiveness and price. Volcano is great, but expensive. Extreme Q can be had on Ebay for $145. It's a steal at that price. I paid $300 for mine on the website. They do have excellent customer service. Unit is also versatile. Can be used as bag or whip, and as previous poster noted, can be hooked up to a bong if you want.

Go with a vriptech vripmaster wand.. i've used a lot of vaporizers and i own a volcano as well and it is by far the best vaporizer imo.. I don't see it getting enough credit out there.. But it's very delicate though, gotta be careful with it. I hate the volcano and filling up bags, but i love taking bong rips of pure vapor out of my own bong with my wand.

I use the regular Iolite, works like a charm for over a year now. I also have a wooden box one, but i dont use it as much as my iolite. A friend of mine had a digi volcano, but he barely used it. He rather roll a joint or do a hookah.

All of your posts give me a lot to think about. Thanks for the advice and links. I'll come back and post what I decide.

Seems like I'm leaning toward the volcano. The idea of filling bags and passing them around amongst the trimmers seems the most logical. I can keep the base in a safe place and not have a bunch of sticky hands on my gear.

Now off to read the reviews. Cheers!
