what they have varies depending on which region you live in, so people from your region may be able to help you if you ...

Depending on region, Gardener's Pride is excellent. Been using it over 5 years now. (Lowes) Fully organic, nothing added. Just good earth.

thanks for the pics n advice, it is a regional thing but i hope i get lucky, i cant pay 20 bucks a bag like ffof, i just cant get played like that i really cant, but if this organi stuff needs nothing added to be a light enough breathable enough mix for plants then im stoked. :ying:

I've used Sta-Green Tree & Shrub Nursery Mix for years from Lowes. It's $8 for two cubic feet, and is completely organic other than the fertilizer balls. If you mix in some perlite it's ready to use and has dolomite lime so no pH swings.

Bro that shit feeds trees and shrubs for 9 months what kind of monsters do you grow for that long?
That perlite has extra ferts in it too... huh?

Sorry my home depot only carries scotts stuff. I'd never use any of it

FFOF 20$??? Its 12.50$ here in Cali. Go to a Nursery they will have what you need there.

Kellogg Patio Plus Soil.
I used it to fill my 3, 100 gallon Smart pots.
It runs just under $5 a bag for 1.5 Cf
100% organic and has some great amendments.
I like to add 20% more perlite though.

Patio Plus has the listed ingredients: bat guano, worm poop, composted chicken manure, kelp meal, rice hulls, perlite, canadian peat moss, horticulture sand

Peace

I'm glad you decided to get the Sta-Green. It's got a healthy amount of nitrogen, so I would suggest not fertilizing in vegetative state until the second or third week. I used to mix it with perlite at a 4:1 ratio. Good luck to you.

sta-green is nice. plenty of rocks that you can take out and use as slingshot shot.

I've used it for a grow and made out fine. I didn't amend it, you should do even better. good growing.
