Here's the tent:

Lighting:

1000watt HPS/MH:

I was looking at this:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Virtual-Sun-8-Inline-Exhaust-Grow-Light-Fan-Carbon-Air-Filter-Scrubber-Cleaner-/120788754833?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item1c1f922191#ht_4085wt_1401

I'm not sure how I need to ventilate this setup. Sucking air through the carbon scrubber, then through lamp, then out through the inline fan? Or two separate inline fans?

Can anyone comment on what would be the most efficient setup for this size tent?

Thanks guys!!

You can do separate ventilation for the light and filter, but it isn't really necessary.

What will the ambient temp be where the tent is? If it's below ~75* F you should be able to cool it fine with one fan.

One thing I will say, is don't have your fan after the hood. Hoods inevitably have air leaks, unless you tape it all up, and if the fan is after them it will suck unfiltered air in through the leaks. If, however, you end up pushing through your filter it doesn't matter.

Assuming you have the space with all your other gear, IMO filter, hood, then fan and out of the tent...assuming you have no air leaks in the hood and duct. However, I have mine setup going from the hood, out the tent, into a muffler, fan, and finally into the filter. My tent is only the 3x3 SJ though. Works great. It really is up to you, most important thing is no air leaks.

just my humble opinion, but I have never seen a hood that doesn't leak significantly around the glass.

If your fan pushes through the hood then there is no problem, as it just pushes a little air out through the leak in the hood and back into the tent.
