Things are looking awsome dude!!! those clones are making a come back fer sure! Good job! Someone saying they were looking "kinda fucked" HOW RUDE!!! :)

About the tip burn...in my experience the more sativa ladies can certainly be light feeders so thats cool u reduced the strength of your recipe, I would certainly give em straight Ph balanced water every few waterings, or perhaps just water with a nice shot of some liquid karma. That is intresting on the different rates of uptake for the trellised plants vs the one just ledt to her own devices.... about the internode lengths I think you may be pleasently surprised some of these sativa buds can really swell fiven the good love and enough flower time. I would take it easy on the bud boosters at this stage i have a feeling that they tend to start making the buds swell up quick(good thing one would think) but i think sometimes its makes for way fewer pistols on the flower and after all the calayxes swell n form around those pistils, the best plant yield wise n smoke wise looked like it had fuckin white fuzzy pussywillows on it at around flower day 35-40,in fact i considered culling it, but that plant ended up goin 95 days and was fuckin rocket fuel, crazy intense sativa all the way primo shit!! and to boot there was 175-180 grams at the end. BTW i fuckin love the pics showing how thin some of those leaves are looking just beutiful dude

Keep up the good work!!! Hopefully someday ill come across some hawain snow n i bet it ill rock!

Peace

Just a quick Question. what does that black line go to that you put in the soil when you have clones planted?

Hello BubsNugs:  The nerve of some people dissing my clones like that. ha, ha They really wern't my best clone effort, but still better than some of my other attempts. Over the years, I've had some serious clone failures at critical times of my grow season that nearly brought me to tears. So I get a little touchy about my clones. :cathug:

About the nutrient thing. I think my problems began when I first put the plants into the big pails. I dumped a gallon of 15ml/gal PBP in and I've been paying for ever since. So now I'm down to 8 ml/gal every second watering. Thats about 1/4 recommended strength. The thing about tip burn is that its not reversible so its there staring you in the face every time you look. I've really got things under control now but my folly is still there for me to see. The bloom booster is just extra PK, I wanted to see if it was going to add to the tip burn to see if maybe they're reacting to that as opposed to nitrogen. It didn't show anything conclusive but I've got a hunch that its a nitrogen issue. Outdoors, I bet you could pour the nutes the these plants and they'd love it.

Maybe the Easter Bunny will send you some Hawaiian Snow Diesel seeds in the spring. :comfort:

Hi Camoxnhx, thanks for checking out the thread and thanks for the kind words. :thank you: Today is the end of week six and the buds are just pussy willow size. At least 5 weeks to go for the trellised girls so the show is really just getting started. I'm hoping for 2 or 3 males to pick from or perhaps use a couple together for the breeding. I'm specifically looking for a male similar to the Sour Diesel IBL males I used to breed the LSD to. They really punched up the potency of the LSD.

The cord you see running to my clones is a thermostat sensor for the heating mat under the white tray. Usually I have 2 cords, 1 for the thermostat and 1 for a digital thermometer. The thermometer went wonky on me so I'll be off to WallyWorld soon for another $8 unit. I really love the thermostat for the heat mat, but I almost choked forking over the $80 for it at the hydro shop.

Hey, I'm gonna check out your grow thread, that Hawaiian Crack sounds interesting.

Hi camoxnhx. Yes I've seen the video, it scared the s**t out me. I'd already bought the seeds, saw the video and thought to myself "I can't grow this stuff indoors...". Anyway, with a little helpful advice from SOTF420 I've found them quite maneagable so far and it has really perked my interest in the sativas. I don't know if you saw the bit with Arjan manicuring the buds by plucking the leafs off with his fingers, but it gave me a good laugh.

Ya, I was thinking to myself "WTF? This is the guy I bought my seeds from?". ha, ha :) Anyway, say what you want about his manicuring skills, he sure has an extensive lineup of quality seeds in his collection. I never really new about GHS until I bought the seeds and did a little research. It seems to me that the growing community is divided into 2 camps, GHS haters and lovers. Me, I'm indifferent since I only buy a pack of seeds every 2 or 3 years but so far very happy with the product except for that 1 $20 seed that didn't pop. :plant grow:

:tiphat: Hello stoney917, thankyou for visiting my thread and thanks for the kind words. :thank you: Everyone keeps raving about the HS so I'm really looking forward to rolling up a big phatty. Without sampling them, my 2 favorites are the keeper and the larger trellised plant. I've attached a pic to show how much bigger she is than the other trellised girl.

Here's a series of shots of the keeper at day F30. I can't say much about her other than she's healthy and pretty well stopped stretching.

For anyone who's keeping up with the feeding regime. Here's the last 3 waterings, 8ml PBP Bloom per gal + LK & Cal/Mag (2ml each) + 1 ml per gal bloom booster (PK), then a plain watering (ph 6.3 from the tap) and today I fed 2ml per gal potassium silicate and just enough ph down (phosphoric acid) to bring the ph to 6.4. The next 3 waterings will probably be identical unless things deteriorate. I'm convinced the the tip burn is related to too much Nitrogen so I'm limiting the Nitrogen.

The clones will be fed similarly except with the PBP Grow instead and when I feed them the potassium silicate cycle it will be at 6 ml/gal. I think I'm getting a feel for what the HS likes but I'm still experimenting.

And finally, here's the baby SLSD's. The seeds are 3 years old and been stored in the cupboard so I didn't get 100% germ rate. A good friend advised me that he keeps his seeds in the fridge and I think I'll be doing that from now on too. Anyway, I've got at least 1 per cell so the breeding program is still on track.

And just to round out this update, here's a pic of the veg room. Two trellised clones (1 of each pheno, day V42), 9 keeper clones (day V25), 6pack of SLSD seedlings at V5 and a lone cutting from the bigger trellised clone (no rooting hormone, no dome) at 5 days from cutting. Looks like she'll survive.
