Gotta love it.....

Despite the threat of a crackdown by federal authorities, California medical marijuana sellers have brazenly forged ahead with the first ever medical marijuana job fair.
Defying federal judges' calls for an outright ban, the West Coast Cannabis Expo, a gathering of medical marijuana growers and sellers went ahead with no sign of law enforcement officials.

At a time when many Americans are struggling to make ends meet in the face of job losses, medical marijuana is providing growing work opportunities.

Shut down? A worker at a San Francisco medical marijuana dispensary weighs out an amount of cannabis for a patient
One seller, named only as Larry, told CBS News he gets 10 job applications a day.

Larry said: 'This industry is growing and it’s going to continue to grow. A lot of good things are going to happen for a lot of people.'
Bob Calkin, CEO of CannaJobs, and of the Cannabis Career Institute, said that there were increasing job opportunities.

'Most of the people coming to the classes are retired people or people from another line of work, or business that have either crashed like the real-estate market or some other thing they’re leaving and they want to try something new,' Calkin said.

I'd like to see some of these local D.A.'s tell the cops to arrest any DEA guys who show up for creating a public nuisance.

As long as the Federal money flowed, States were pretty quiet and stayed 'in line' to Fed bully tactics, but as the money dries up, more States are beginning to question having to comply with unfunded Fed mandates to enforce laws that extend beyond State regulation and siphon off scarce money that could be used locally on more pressing needs.

As most States are now having to pay the piper for reckless spending by higher borrowing costs and a public unwilling to issue bonds, the Feds ability to dictate is starting to slip.
Without a Fed life-raft in sight, it's starting to be every man for himself.

Let's hope that slip starts to become a landslide and reverse the rush of the Fed to control every aspect of our lives and restore the ordering of our society to our neighbors and ourselves.

Today must be the cheery and optimistic mrcreosote day...
It's probably just a momentary aberration.

It's been a long piss in the wind for the feds. They are losing their battle as more and more people see the light.

The wind is only blowing harder and their piss stream is getting weak.

our government is getting too big., and is trying to push a socialist agenda, i think things are going to get much worse before they get better.
i dont understand why there is no compromise on either side, (they slow down on busting people, people open up 900 shops, in every city, , and run with it, the feds start swooping in, and there is a stop to the flow of tax dollars, aside from the fines and penalties these people have incurred) it is really ignorant to shut down a constant flow of money when we (as a state, or as a country) are flat broke, if i could wish for anything this christmas, it would be for M.J. to be legalized, / decriminalized , for the simple fact that this plant/tree/flower, has healing powers, that are almost completely unknown, from the smoking/eating/rubbing into the skin, not to mention the making of renewable materials to build houses, produce paper, make cloths and rope, ect.ect. out of hemp, something that should not be classified as a drug, as it has little to no thc/cbn., i agree with drythroat on the fact that the feds are pissing into the wind on this one, the cat is already out of the bag, hundreds of thousands of people are growing their own now, are they going to lock them all up?, hell no, they dont even have room in the prisons for the Dr. that killed Michael Jackson, the time has come to ''overgrow the government'' and make our government like it should be, small and of the people by the people, and we are the people.
