Ebb and Gro Overwatering????

I have a 24 site ebb and gro system I just set up. I have done ebb and flow tables many times before with great success. The problem I am having is that i vegged in 3" rockwool blocks and the controller only has 15 minute intervals so, I seem to be overwatering the rockwool and no new root growth is really evident. I thought of raising all the buckets slightly above the level of the controller so they would not flood as high. Anyone have experience with this or thoughts?

15 minutes is fine but how often you run that 15 minutes is the problem. With buckets this is where it takes time to sit down and watch your girls as they grow along and get a feel for what each strain can handle and what strains can play together in the grand scheme of things.

How big are your pots and how often do you flood?

Good Luck

Im doing every 4 hrs, 15 minutes. I am pretty sure the issue is, that in the 15 minutes the water comes up so high it totally saturates the rockwool blocks and the plants then have no need to put out roots. So my thought was, if i raised them, even 2 inches and top watered till they put out roots, I could avoid the rockwool getting so wet. Def. going to veg the next ones in net pots. There are 24 under 6kw

Oh, they are the 2 gallon buckets, 3 inch rockwool cube as high up as possible, filled with Hydroton

If the rockwool gets wet you could develop stem rot and that will kill them off fast. Raise the plants up in the bucket.

Im running around 48 plants in my ebb n grow but my clones go from ezcloner into the ebb n grow. I was told not to use rockwool because it will cause stem rot if it gets wet.

Ok, 2nd run. Rooted in Root Plugs, transplanted to 6 inch net pots filled with hydroton. Vegged in 2x4 ebb and flow till 12". Great thick root mats. Transplanted into buckets. Watering 15 min. 4 times a day. Lights are on 24hrs. Room is appox. 75-78 degrees. A few are a lil droopy. Could it be transplant shock? Am i overwatering still? I pulled one out to check and the bottom of the net pot was def. wet with the top being dry, but it felt a lil warm. Not hot, but warm to the touch. No new fuzzy white root growth. It's been 24hrs since I transplanted to the buckets. THoughts? thanks

every 4 hours ?
I think you are flooding way too often :)
If your plants arent drinking up much water yet just do it twice per day, depending on ur pot size.
