there is no problem with spoilers but ppl should have the choice if they wanna see them or not. posting a clickable link with a spoiler warning is cool. posting a spoilerific picture in plain view (when a page earlier ppl warned to click random links bc they might end up seing that picture) is NOT COOL because it leaves viewers of this thread no choice. this thread has been spoiler-free in the past so it seemed safe to come here. its really simple just leave ppl a choice. i dont go up to ppl reading a book and tell them the ending. of course if they wanna know i would tell them but i wouldnt FORCE them to hear it and thus ruin the experience.

its a really simple thing you enjoy spoilers and others dont. thats why there should always be a choice and some forums actually have spoiler tags for this purpose. when i come into this thread of course i expect spoilers for previous episodes. but not for episodes that havent even aired yet. and like i said its not even a problem posting spoilers for future episodes either .. .just present them in a way that the viewers can actually decide if they wanna see them or they dont. thats not asking too much i think.

but yeah in a way youre right too. im reading songs of ice and fire saga right now and im not even going near any place where they discuss the books for fear that some idiot might talk too much without giving a spoiler warning first. but then again those are books that are already on the market and noone spoilers books that arent even in the shelves yet so thats a totally different thing.

gilligan is smart...... i really think he was the one who leaked the FAKE photo of gus....

well obviously its a real photo of giancarlo, and not "FAKE"....

...perhaps its simply a photo of the work of a makeup artist that was instructed by gilligan to "show me what you got!"

or, the cast probably had a halloween party and that was giancarlos costume...

either way, this show is not science fiction.....it is not x-files or hancock, ...... im serious, if I see that same make-up job from the photo being used on this show, I WILL BE DONE WITH WATCHING THIS SHOW, AND TV IN GENERAL

I do hope the picture is fake, as it does look a bit cheesy, but here's the thing - behind the scenes shots look nothing like they do once the proper cameras and lighting are rolling, let alone all the cgi post processing that is done even for simple scenes nowadays.

Have you ever visited the set of a show you watch regularly? I've done it a couple times, and each time I'm blown away by how cheap everything looks in person.

Has anyone else notice that in the last three episodes at certain time and angles it looks like jesse has a big red rash on his face specifically his cheek?

Bryan Cranston got interviewed by Marc Maron on his WTF podcast a couple of nights ago, interesting conversation, first part is more about Cranston's career pre-Breaking Bad, last half hour or so is about Breaking Bad.

http://wtfpod.libsyn.com/episode-216-bryan-cranston

Cranston's description (with no spoilers) of the last episode coming up Sunday night makes it seem like it will be powerful.

Pretty detailed post about that spoiler pic from some dude on reddit... Highlight/select the text to read the part with spoilers..

10+ yr. pro video producer/editor here.
My original assumptions were the same--Production still (after I got over being pissed at myself for looking, but there were enough context clues in other threads that I had figured it out by then..) But looking closer, this is not the case.
It's for sure not a production still. It was taken from a video source. Not a still camera, but something with fields.. (Or was currently being edited in either 1080i or 30i mode so it added pulldown) Further, the 'black' levels are consistent with video black on an AVID with exported with 601/709 levels-- -- 16. This also reduced the possibility of a photoshop. Finally, that level and type of compression is pretty consistent with 'offline' quality compression..
The background is in pretty deep focus, so this wasn't shot with A DV Cam. The lighting and fog in the background is consistent with current production-- ie "being on set" There is a fairly direct light source on Gus-- Look at the shadow cast from a lightsource high behind the camera to the left-- which casts a shadow of gus on the right side of the screen.
It's real. That's makeup. Great makeup. A prosthetic has been 'built up' around his face.
Looking at it closely, I think there are only a couple possibilities here. Either it's a VFX composite or test, with the part behind the door being green screened, and we are seeing some sort of test that was emailed at some point.. however...
.. I'm pretty sure it's just straight up a shot from the show-- or at least taken from footage shot by the show's camera between takes or whatever. The doorframe is cracked on the left. Consistent with an explosion. (Just like the smoke behind him) There's some material either mid-air or stuck to the doorframe on the right-- part of some special effect?
On the one hand, it looks like he's straightening his tie. On the other, he could be grabbing his throat as he falls downwards out of frame.. Hell, this could be the 'oh shit' moment where Gus gets up and walks out of the room after presumably being blown up, straightens his tie, and boom, the season's over.
I hope this is a dream. Walter imagines blowing him up, he survives it in zombie form, and wakes up, to continue on with the rest of the episode. And it would be Kelley Dixon (The avid editor) who would be responsible for posting it to Reddit if it were intentional-- she reads reddit, and even dropped the 'things go off' line at the end of the podcast this week.

That said, to what end? Why bother? Were they worried about the real ending getting out for some reason so they did this?
Unfortunately, I think this is a still grab that was pulled at some point during the offline process of the edit... before color correction.. and somebody released it.. though I hope this isn't the case.

anybody notice the fourth guy in the chapel room in the hospital when gus is talking to jesse right before the walt on the roof/gus not going to his car scene?

who the fuck is this fourth guy? Gus doesn't mind talking in front of him? The guy was purposely shown in this scene.... i just now picked up on it and im curious....

Good question????

FYI - tonight's episode apparently runs 68 minutes, so yeah, make sure you guys add extra time if you will be recording it on DVR to watch later or re-watch.

Is the final episode called Face Off?

The reason I ask is that I am in a hotel and there are like 500 channels. There may be more than one AMC channel and I may not be able to see the season finale. I have just started to watch the program and have seen all of them online. This will be the first one I see on TV.

Thanks for the help.

You know I don't really care for the premise of the show, but got caught up in the drama. I am not a huge fan of that drug to say the least. I almost think if it isn't glamorized it is at least accepted on the program. I do feel drawn into the program though. I had some time on my hands and watched all the programs up till now in very short order. As everyone probably already knows, you can see every program in existence for free online if you try hard enough. You do have to sift through a lot of sites that have their hands out as you go though. So yeah, I want to see tonight's episode. I was so let down less than a week ago when I couldn't just watch it online.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. The show starts here in about a half hour.

We are watching Weeds online too, but I don't care too much for that one. It seems even farther away from reality than Breaking Bad is. I am not usually a fan of Television as a whole, but have been put in the spot to watch a lot of it lately.
