I've yet to see any evidence of alien visits, people seem to think that only in the last couple of centuries we've become advanced enough to build huge structures and civilizations..

I Seen Something

Remarkable when I was a young teen that convinced me they are here, and no I was not abducted or any shit like that. Just seen it with my own two eyes. And I've been looking to the heavens ever since. But anyway common sense (if your old enough) will tell you there out their. :ying:

probably the greatest evidence of their intelligence, is that they dont "contact" us.

we are probably just on some wildlife show somewhere.

"look at the humans mom, arent they cute and stupid? :)"

Wouldnt it be funny if you went home today and accidently tuned in to the aliens "animal(human) planet"

Not saying it's evidence, but the most convincing thing I have seen so far is:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=As-wYmFYb3I

Then the same UFO kind of objects (disc looking thing with D shade cut out on the edge) were found painted in caves in different parts of the world. Can't find an actual picture of the cave paintings.

there is no way those are ufos dude. first off the astronaut explains that its just floating debris. plus, that was only 81 miles from the space shuttle. i highly doubt that many ufos would investigate unless each planet sent one, lol. lastly, in the beginning of the video, they say it overloaded because a miscalculation in the earths magnetic field.

Yep the NASA tether video was supposedly debunked on the History Channel ("UFO Hunters" program): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ce6QUJ0idYo&feature=player_embedded.

Concerning the Mayans and their calendar though, there's a conference by Ian Lungold called "Secrets of the Mayan Calendar Unveiled" that's a really interesting watch:

Part 1 of 3: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=1030536695965417017

(other parts are in the related videos pane on the right)

The books by Carl Johan Calleman he talks about are a good read too:

"Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence." - Carl Sagan

Doesn't look like that evidence will be found here. Not a single reliable person involved in this project... Just a bunch of conspiracy theorists who nobody on the planet believes is trustworthy so far as matters of archaeology are concerned.

LOL "says Mexico" but what they really mean is "says the minister of tourism for the Mexican state of Campeche."

Everything about the article is phrased in a manipulative way to get the attention of people willing to believe bullshit, right down to the title.

I really can't wait for 2013 so these people will shut the fuck up.

I really can't wait for 2013 so these people will shut the fuck up.

yeah but then they'll start screaming 2021..."oh we got it wrong, it's actually reversed -it's 2021 not 2012. Like when we reached Y2K - everyone was CERTAIN we were all going to be teleported up to heaven or some shit. Didn't happen.
Though, I wonder if the Gregorian calendar is off a bit...well it is...but what if it's really the year 1999 or something? Like what if 2012 is really 2000. Doubt it.

Personally, I'd like to make a profit off these Y2012 people....buying up supplies and stuff. I could sell blueprints on how to make an emergency shelter on eBay. Or sell copied versions of the SAS Survival Guide for like $5. Lot ways to make money off hysteria. Not to be confused with Kissteria.

Lol, that's a good point h2O, and there are plenty doing just that already, look up Dr Deagle for a start

I don't buy into the whole end of the world craze either, though I do think that a shift of human consciousness is happening, and believe we, as a civilization, are moving towards a universal consciousness. It is in that sense that I find interest in the Mayan calendar.

hmm. well.

if you actually like this world, as it is, then yes, shift of human consciousness would be perceived by you as the end of the world.

Interesting.
The Catholic Church owes human civilization a huge apology for the cultural vandalism in central and south america--all the scrolls that the monks burned because they had stories and histories going back way further than the creation story.-- who can imagine what knowledge we have lost

Evidence or "Evidence?"

Oh, it's the old "scientists say" routine...

Which ones? What institutions are they associated with? What academic disciplines?

It's says DNA test were done -- where did they publish the sequences? It says scans were done. Where did they publish those?

"Its brain was huge, particularly the rear section, leading scientists to the conclusion that the odd creature was very intelligent."

Surely that's preserved somewhere for study -- samples have been sent around the world to universities, etc. for study, yes?

The farmer who found it said it took hours to drown. The farmer who found it says it's not a hoax. Ah, now it's, "the farmer says."

Oooh, the farmer that found it then later died in a fire where the flames, "apparently had a far higher temperature than in a normal fire!"

Apparently!

"Now there are rumours that the parents of the creature Lopez drowned were the ones who in turn killed him out of revenge."

Rumours, don't you just know it! Actual rumours! And revenge!

Sorry, but c'mon. I'll take the guy from Hill Street Blues over this -- and that's saying something.

I'm not sure I agree, but I like your thought process ! What are you smoking ?

I'm not saying the Thing is alien for sure neither is that video. The national geographic team also did DNA tests and couldn't get a match. That debunked article you linked to has no credible sources or data. It's just a guy that says he thinks it's a monkey. Why when they cats annex it it has a different anatomy than a monkey? And non monkey DNA ?

“We took samples of tissue, bone, hair and skin and sent it to be tested.” But the three labs in Mexico and one in Canada did not know what to make of it.

“They claimed the samples had decayed too much to produce coherent DNA...”

http://www.bild.de/news/bild-english/news/dna-unknown-will-mystery-ever-be-solved-9539890.bild.html

This is directly from the German tabloid rag that published the story -- even they admit the DNA is not recoverable -- that's not the same as having no DNA or mystery DNA.

Also, again, which scientists and labs were the samples sent to? -- no scientists are named here, the labs are not named.

What about this "National Geographic team" -- names, degrees, fields of study, direct quotes, method of DNA sampling, etc?
