Day 91; day 50 of 12/12

thanks for the words fellas

here's a sunday update
7 weeks of flower done
despite a serious muck up i well still get some nice flowers
they never fully recovered from my screw up and i think i caused them to finish a little early
i wont know the full potential of these ladies though unless i run them again and dont screw up

talk is cheap so here's some pics

overview, i might try a ten plant run next time?
picture.php

alien bubba; looks like bubba smells like bubba
picture.php

sour bubble; its sour. not sour diesel sour, but a funky new kind of sour. not huge buds but frosty
picture.php
picture.php

grapefruit fly; fat swollen calyxes that smell like sweet pink grapefruit.. yum
picture.php

firefly; a little more spearlike bud formation. i am digging this one.
amazing sweet pineapple smell. i will try to reveg this guy to get some clones to run again.
i think this one would be the asskicker if i didn't have any hiccups.

The end is in site! Lesson learned with the nutes bro! We have all done it at some point! at least now ya know where ya limits are with this system and the KISS formula right?

I know what ya mean about the transplant shock when the roots first hit the trays. I've started vegging them under weak floros for a few weeks or so in big 3x3 rockwool cubes. definitely reduced the shock compared to my last round. Stuck them on top of the clay balls in the pots to avoid the rockwool saturating problem.

Roots look great! wish I could check mine out like that. Bet you can't wait to cut those girls down and get them dried huh! Planning to reduce the KISS formula gradually or just go straight to water? I'm guessing the burnt buds shock ripened so will suck nutes out the lower fans sooner than the good ones. A gradual flush might keep things balanced.

hola my friend
lesson learned on the nute burn
i wasn't even trying to push it either, i just miscalculated
i'm gonna do like you and try to get some clones more prepped up so i can hopefully avoid the shock
i never had a problem with well rooted mini cubes (1"?)
but the places i get clones from usually use larger cubes
so i will try like you say to prep them with some pebbles underneath

as far as nutes, i just dumped 10 of 20 gallons to fill up with RO
and will slowly water it down for the finishing days

peeeeeeeeeeaccccccccccccceeeeeeeeeee off to see how the funky reveg is going =)

Nice grow ogenko, I used to run NFT back in the day and loved it. Nice explosive growth.... When you transplant them onto the tray as you say they should either have a nice root system to prevent saggy rockwool or be propped up of the floor of the tray itself and run the pump on a timer for a few days until roots hit the floor and start to o there their thang.

I definitely try a few more plants next run or mono crop with the same amount of plants using sour bubble as she seems to have got kinda big and I could see her filling the space using 6 of them and the same veg period.

anyways, digging the grow and pics are nicely done :)

time to close the doors on this run

time to close the doors on this run

here's the tally for this run

1 sour bubble; 106 grams of sour bubble
i will run this baby again
picture.php

1 grapefruit fly; 110 grams
pretty bomb, i think i got a clone of this one and will run again
picture.php

2 grapefruit fly; 79.1 grams
good, but this pheno had two spots of bud rot even though it wasn't as thick as my other one
won't run again

1 alien bubba; 64.4 grams
nice hard nuggets, good bubba smell.. small yeild

1 and 2 firefly; 131 grams total
i think these would have been the winners, but my overfeeding hit them the hardest. oooops

total is 490 grams, not great, but still worthwhile
on to the next round
Grape Stompers (sour grapes) and LA Confidential
yuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuum

awesome og, i love salad grows. ive been the king of them lol haha. variety is key to me haha.

back to an older post, imvho, and an experienced one at that, grapefruit is a blueberryx a bc big bud. both clones were very popular at the same time. and they seem like a perfect blend of both those elite cuts, mm
