Here is the hidden room in my basement.

Looks like a normal laundry room-

Pull the hidden lever and the secret door opens-

Inside you find everything you need to produce some massive buds. 3 aeroponic flowering machines (only 2 pictured), 2- 1k HID, 8" (780cfm) can fan, 8" Phresh filter, and a 60 amp breaker box with 12 outlets-

Excellent work, man. I'll be building my new room next year. Curious, is the wall and door pretty stiff? So like if someone's nosing around. It's a great door. The hinge system is tricky I'd think. To get the door to open and close and press against that trim. Skills.

Is the wall heavy? Like that's supposed to be the outer wall? I've wondered about a masonry block wall, etc. So it's clear that's the end of the building.

Not meaning to be nosy, but hell

Yes, the wall and door are pretty stiff. The tag board is screwed off every 2' , so there isnt any give. Plus its all insulated for sound and everything. You cant see anything, you cant hear anything, and you cant smell anything.

The door shut pretty tight to begin with, but I did use some weatherstripping. I used the foam kind inside the door frame and stapled the felt weatherstripping around the inside edges of the door.

could you post a pic of your locking mechinism on the hidden door?love the set up!

Its a simple $4 gate latch from Home Depot. I had to make a slight adjustment by using a cardboard shim to make it fit just right.

Sweet. Maybe bc I'm on my phone, but I can't tell how the hinges are done. I've long been interested in secret compartments and rooms

There are no plants in there right now. I usually only use that room during the summer months. I have an entire basement at another place that I use the rest of the year. I do have some seedlings left over from my other spot that are somewhat runtish that I am considering putting in there for one run just because I dont want to throw them out.

Maybe I will throw the seedlings and a few clones in there tomorrow and try to make up for all the bud that root aphids cost me this summer.

im more than impressed with this.obviously take some skills and craftsmanship.
i wish i was half as handy, maybe one day.
cant wait to see you fill this room up and bring it home!

good luck,and best of growing.
