Two of the MS showed sex today annnnnnnnnd they are female! Stoked! Of the other two, one is a suspected male and the other is a suspected female. I really only need 3 so as soon as I have confirmation of the third female I'll cull the last plant. The screen went in today, repotted the plants and the light was raised about 2 inches. A couple more weeks to fill the screen and allow the plants fully root their new containers and we'll be ready to flip the switch.

Two females is key to success. . . anything after that is icing on the cake. The search is always easier after there's some confirmed females.

The beauty of a smaller space is a lack of veg time! You're gonna kill it.

The third female was confirmed today So of the 4/5 mystery beans that made it through germ, 3 female and 1 male. Not bad.

Sorry all, I wrote up an update a week ago, pictures and all but I think I just forgot to post it... fucking stoners. That one is lost forever but I do have this nice update at day 6 of flower with our MysterySeed, Black Domina and Chemdawg. Come on in!

Well it was a long 60 day veg and there were numerous bumps along the way but I think we are finally settling in. I've had few problems with the coco, not to any fault of the coco. It's been my own mistakes that have complicated things. For some reason I decided to deviate from my 2-3 gal container plan and I went with 4 gal instead. This was definitely the worst decision I could have possibly made. Just not enough light to sustain plants of size in my space and because the containers are too big complete saturation is out of the question. It's just way too much time between feedings. After a convo with a buddy we decided it would be best to bottom feed daily. That was a week ago and things have really been on the up. Aside from a small fruit fly hiccup. They were quelled quickly with one treatment of pyrethrum. The Black Domina and the Chemdawg have both found a spot directly under the tube so I am hoping they are going to each produce a couple of nice nuggies too. I've decided to grab a batwing and see if I can ditch the tube. Weather wise it might be a bit of a gamble right now but I am sure in another month or so the temps will have dropped enough where it might be an option. I know I am losing so much light energy from the tube and since I'm already pushing the limits of the light I need every lumen I can get!

Wow, that looks like a completely different cabinet now. The fact that the partitions are gone is amazing. At the very least it must be easier to work in there now.

Your internal oscillating fans look familiar. Did you steal them from a school bus. . they look like the fans bus drivers have, ya know?

Plants look really healthy overall. I can see the MS's on the edges are having a tougher time with the saturated medium. Turned up leaf edges and every little ripple of the textured fan leaves is popped out a bit. It'll probably be like that the whole grow because they're not under the lamp, so they'll grow slower and consume less water, plus they'll lose less water to evaporation. Are they still recovering from their initial saturation, or are they 100% on the new bottom feed schedule? Can you take some medium off the top? I know it's less than ideal, but even if it's a half gallon worth out of each, it'll help tremendously.

I dig the bat wing. I know the cooltube dictated that your lamp be orientated right to left. Now that you have a batwing, can you orientate it depth-wise so the long sides of the bulb can go to town on the huge area it has to cover? I've never used a 400, only 250's & 600's, so I don't know how long a 400 watt bulb is. . .

STOKED! I was able to hang the batwing with the bulb in the correct orientation and the plants have really responded. The growth is much more uniform and temps haven't been an issue, I don't think it will be. In other news I have roots on one of my clones! Although it's from MS5, who is currently showing the slowest growth. Crossing my fingers for the Chemdawg and MS2 to take root soon.

Things are humming right along and I added an extra 300 CFL for supplemental lighting. It was an impulse buy so I'm wondering if it will even make a difference, I can't imagine it would hurt anything. In other news I just found out I'll be testing some Happy Valley (OGK x SFV) seeds for the House of Love. Festivus! I guess that seals the deal, looks like I will be getting a 4x4 tent and 600 or 1K (haven't decided yet.) I'll create a separate thread in the HOL forums when the beans arrive. All the clones are still holding up and I added a O.G. Kush #1 to the nursery as well. The plan with the tent is to eventually run it perpetually, with the cab as the veg chamber. I figure I need at least one grow in the tent to before I can accurately plan how I am going to best utilize the space.

The budsets on all the tops are really starting to develop. I did a rough count yesterday and there were around 40-50 tops. The MysterySeed pheno's are all very similar, sativa dom but one of them is frosting noticeably more then the others. MS4 and MS5 both have early frosting while MS2 appears to be the hardiest, although I think this can be attributed grower error because of the my container mistake. MS2 has just happened to fill the 4g container more then the other two. Oh joy! I don't have any experience growing from clone (besides the BD and CD I have going currently) but I can say for sure what I love most about seeds is the phenotype hunt! Every bean is like it's own little dank container of wonderful surprises Now onto some pictures!

Thanks! It's a shame I probably won't be flowering in this again as I feel like it is a great all purpose cab. Who knows maybe a separate veg area will appear and I'll be able to run the cab for experiments...

Had some minor pH problems, which I'll attribute to still getting used to coco, which I am absolutely loving by the way. It's so nice to know exactly what's in my medium at any given time. It makes it easier for me to make informed decisions about what my plants need. Things are looking better but growth definitely slowed down for a couple of days. Topped my OGK mom and I have decided that it's safe to say that all my CD, BD and MS clones have made it. My cloning record stands at 1/2. The first round I had a 0% success rate, this round 100%. This time I followed JJScorpio's cloning guide. I've also been doing ALOT of reading lately, mostly Jorge's Marijuana Horticulture, which is the second best resource I have found next to icmag It's such a great feeling see progression. So much to learn, so many grows to do it...

looks great. i am not scrogging but going to try a similar model of really lollipopping them and getting rid of all fluff below the canopy. really cleaing them up. one can learn so much from one grow to another, always getting better and never taking a step back. its so exciting!!!
