yeah def. the best spot i've found......in backwoods alaska of course.

nicely established place...in the bush, w/ tons of old gear to tinker with

well worth the price.....can't wait to move in

And so much more! Check out the apr. 1,800’ Airstrip
Hewitt-Whiskey Lake, Lot 29 – apr. 13.80 acres
Hewitt-Whiskey Lake #1, ASLS 79-148, Block 2, Lots 14 & 15 – apr. 9.80 acres
Apr. GPS coordinates as shown on the Survey:
Lat. 62° 00’ 27” N and Long. 151° 22’ 51” W - Datum: NAD27
(For a Google Earth Fly Over)

A “Homesteader’s Dream” may come true with this place. Just as the original owner fulfilled his dream of having a place on Hewitt Lake, by the way the original Homestead cabin is still there. It was literally hand sawed from local timbers and looks like it should be in a Jack London story.

A lot has been done since. The two story Main Cabin offers 3 bedrooms, a kitchen upstairs and a large, wide open “Great Room” downstairs with a huge wood stove that heats the whole place (even the coldest of winter days), an adjacent wood storage area, a water system and a covered walkway to the original Homestead cabin.

The way the place was built, you walk out level from the upstairs to the Airstrip and an array of other buildings; such as the always welcome Pilots Lounge and shown in the photos as “Lindburg Field”, then of course there is the large Shop Building with a 5.5kw Luger diesel generator and an assortment of tools one needs to live out there. There are several other storage buildings for all the equipment, such as there is a large tractor to maintain the runway, a tow behind lawn mower, log splitter, 4 wheeler, trailer, 2 boats, several work horse type snowmachines, a small Caterpillar type tractor and the list would go on and on as shown in the detailed Seller’s Equipment List.

For those of you who are not familiar with Hewitt Lake, it is about the only good size lake that is accessible from the Yentna River system by boat, and of course you also have snowmobile access plus an apr. 1.800’ runway to accompany just about any single engine aircraft. It is about a 45 minute flight from Anchorage or a 3 hour boat trip from Willow/Deshka Landing.

There is great fishing in the lake, mainly for Northern Pike and the outlet of Hewitt Creek offers some fine King, Silver and Red salmon fishing and from there you have boat access to the many tributaries of the Yentna – Skwentna River system and it’s tributaries for excellent fishing.

Moose and bear hunting is excellent! And many times moose and or bear can be seen crossing the runway, so for you pilots, “watch out” as they do not announce themselves.

A great piece of property for you and or you and a few friends together to help share the cost.

$299K will get you this little Paradise and all that goes with it.

I always day dream about living in a place like that, it seems like that is as close to freedom as one could get. But what the hell do you do for money? I guess you must have to be independently wealthy. Better hope you or one of the fam gets hurt or sick, because it looks like a long way from any hospital.

Nice, but they're asking WAY too much. Way too much. Could get 40 acres here in the northeast for 50k. Sounds like they want every penny back they put into it, like the idiots who put a carbon fiber hood on a 93 Accord with 200k miles and they want 10 thousand for it.
I'd buy that property for half of what they're asking.

TiTs!

That airstrip looks like it is not for the faint of heart.
Damn that is remote too. I like many of you live in a gorgeous place in the middle of nowhere but can make a day trip to the walmart once a month.
When anchorage is 45 minutes by plane you are making a list and buying in bulk.
Everyone thing you can't make yourself would cost a fortune.

I could... with about $2M in improvements. What if you, the only on with the pilot's license, is the one that's injured or sick? It's doubly worse if snow is covering that landing strip. Nice place to visit, though.

if you manage to get the old lady up there you'll have to hide the satellite phone from her or she'll be booking the next float plane taxi outta there.......

I do however believe that you'll have seen your last Jehovah's Witness.

Im with h20, looks like your paying $300,000 dollars for a shed, in a very remote location ,with a semi bit of flat land masquerading as a run-way,

with $300,000 i bet you could do a far better made to measure job,

I would marry my ex wife again to get a place like that.

Apart for 15 years and still can't get her out of my head.

Such is life.
