Budrot question

I brought my outdoor ladies inside as the weather is awful and i spotted lots of rot. I cut out everything i saw but the sections of the stem where i cut are brown, do i have to remove everything above the affected stem or will i be alright?

yes, remove everything above the infected spot.....

i would try to do this outside and NOT in your grow room......

you will be releasing spores inside your room when you mess with it, infecting everything else...

i have been battling bud rot for years, i actually don't remove the bud rot anymore because it spreads to other plants........

Well it's stopped spreading since i got them inside. If i cut everything above it that's pretty much the whole plant. I wiped the affected area with alcohol and it looks like it all came right off...minus the 1/3 of the stem it ate of course. I'm going to try and leave it and see what happens, 3 fans on em and dehumidifier i'm hoping it won't spread. I've still got another 3-4 weeks till harvest. Never had rot indoors always tons of air circulation so i don't think the spores inside can do any harm.

less humidity and fan more exposure will not do anything to stop the rot unfortunately....

whats causing it is the amount of water that you feed the plant, if you notice where it rots, its extremely wet....

i use a silca such as protekt all throughout its life and really cut down on watering the last 3 weeks, almost letting them droop before i water again, this method has cut my bud rot amount down by 90%.....

I appreciate the help. It has been cold and raining for the better part of a week here with zero sun. When i first noticed the rot there were 2 sites with it. i cut them out, when i checked back 12 hours later there were about 10 sites...thats when i said oh shit cut them out and brought them inside. Dried them out and here we are 36 hours later and i haven't had to cut out anything else out. I was curious about the stems from the buds i did cut out though. The alcohol seemed to do the trick though...i'm going to keep a good eye on them.

depends where you are. vinegar and water spray works for me on mould, even when the mould is in the heads. different places, different moulds I suppose.
