What's new

conversion of 'time release ferts' to liquid for dunking

I have a variety of ferts in dry 'time release' form that I would like to make liquid so as to dunk my pots
10-30-10, 12-30-8, etc.; the people I ask to buy this stuff (I'm in central america) will not buy what I ask for
so how do I do it ?

I mixed ~50 gms w/300gms of water and crushed and stirred, over and over
then added to ~8gal of water and dunked my 4gal potted plant
no fert burn signs, so I guess I'll up the conc some more for the next feeding
??
no pH or ec meter (or even a scale !!)

ideas ?

why not just mix it with soil. one other option i have used is poke a few holes around perimeter of pot and fill holes with ferts.

ta for the response super

I was gifted a 5" clone in a 5 gal water bottle, it immediately started to flower a month ago; seems to late to transplant (mix soil) and as it is skunk#1 I would like to reveg it as a mother after harvest

certainly the container is big enough to put some granules around the periphery, but then I really have no clue as to what I am actually giving the plant
-> can time-release ferts burn a plant in a 5 gal pot?

but then I know nothing about the soil used other than it was a bag purchased an the vet (they sell ferts here), looks like worm castings w/o perlite or vermiculite

the plant looks like a miniature, all buds almost w/o fan leaves and those that there are are at most 3" across; I screwed up by not vegging it to a larger size

ya you dont wanna add time release to a flowering plant. sorry no help then. theres lots of organic stuff you could use tho. molassis and hardwood ash are 2 off top my head.
