hey yall i do have a quick question about clones.

the clones are Sativa pheno of mango and Odyessy. there both 9+week strains. so how long to veg before flower. like 2-3week? or what?

Also how long after transplanting can i start doing LST/ femming/supper cropping? now these are older clones that were a little niglected. after putting them into soil and giving them Floranova grow + GH rapid start for healthy root growth they have seemed to have perked back up and they "seem" to have started growing. I am just wondering if there is a good rule of thumb when dealing with clones is all. and what kind of time frames should i be using for them

LST a clone as soon as it has a good root system, same with any type of training clones aren't special or anything. if they don't show signs of growth for sure maybe wait a day til they do show growth, then train away.

no body can really tell you how long to veg before flipping thats gonna depend on your space/lighting.

I tried posting in here earlier but for some reason it didn't show up. I said earlier that I just bought some clones on 9/9 and 9/10 and I started training 4 of the 6 girls on 9/17. The other two I waited for them to show signs of new growth and then I started bending them around too. If you check out my newest grow link in my sig you can get a feel for the size of my plants and how rigorous I got with them. I also just recently FIMed two or three of the most prominent new shoots on the Headband to promote some bush action and I didn't want the meristem to fall to the wayside, I'm still trying to get all the girls to circle all the way around my pots.

aslo another Q if anyone knows, but do "woodie" clones like clones taken later in the growth process. do they grow slower then clones taken before the "flip".

Sry for what some people feel are dumb questions but i havent been able to find any answers as of yet and maybe the IC mag Com can lend out a hand

A clone should be treated like any plant...food, water, light.

High ty for ur picks, and insight  tho i am not sure anyone here is grasping what i am trying to ask... so let me try and rephrase it. First off this isnt my first grow by no means. this is the first time i am using clones.

WITH THAT SAID PLEASE READ THIS SLOWLY SO U GET MY QUESTION...;-P

with my clones. they were taken over a month ago from an outdoor plant that was not soft/supple like INDOOR clones. with that said they seem to be more "woodie" like hardend off from being outside.. they were take over a month ago and kept in the puck for over a month before i got them and put them into soil. with that being said and i hope proper info... and i have been searching the threads and cant find an answer to my quandry.

I think they were shocked first and formost but...

ARE CLONES THAT ARE FROM AN OLD PLANT THAT HAS HARDENED OFF BRANCHES, THAT ARE ALREADY ROOTED, WILL THEY TAKE LONGER TO GROW THEN SOFT STEMED CLONES?

ty for taking ur time to answer this.

No, they should grow faster unless the plant they were taken from was in flower.I prefer the woody parts of the branches for my cuts, they root faster than soft stems and are almost 100% guarantee.I would usually wait until they grew at least 6" from where they started to cut them back.If they have Mango blood they should grow out rather quickly.:)

Semi hardwood, as in new spring growth, is generally considered the best material to use. But hardwood will also clone, if using Clonex, change to Clonex red. More indol butyric acid needed.

Whoa! very beautiful plant my friend! I guess thats a mother?
How old is it?

Sorry to hijack your thread Mrpiston38 but just had to ask!

I havent had much experience with clones so cant help you that much, but if i had to guess id say you could start training the clone as fast as it have developed a root system! :)

Yes, that is a mother plant. It was grown from home made Colloidal Silver feminised seed. It is about 5 months old. The clone was taken from it. The strain is "High Country Indica"...my strain.
