does mmar do a criminal record check?

i just got popped in june for production with the intent to traffic,but i am just dealing with getting my forms signed by a doctor,i got referred to a doc and he is just going to see me.if i dont get convicted by the time i get my card is it ok?i had to wait 9 weeks to see this mmj friendly doctor.

2 cases in bc happened like 3 or 2 years ago, sorry i dont have the case file numbers for reference, but one grower got cught with 15000 outdoor plants, and 3 years later when it finally went to trial the grower had a license, showed the judge, and the case was tossed. the other guy was growing indoors, same cgarges, same time to trial, got a card, case got tossed, d

For a personal production license. No criminal record checks. I personally know someone who was released from prison and got his personal license. I on the other hand just went through a criminal records check because I am becoming a DG "Designated Grower". Now if you are found guilty of any drug offenses while you have your license you can lose your personal license ex: over plant limit, found selling your "goods" etc...

Edit: on the other hand I know someone who had his "goods" returned to him after the courts ruled that he was indeed "medical" and just waiting on his application to be approved by health Canada.

I "think" if you have your application in by the time you go to court then you would have a chance to atleast say that you already applied and are indeed medical.
