How To Keep Your Mind Off Harvest Problems?

So for those of us growing in the great outdoors. For those who've not already harvested and have a month or less to go. How do you keep your mind off the myriad of problems that threaten our crops?

Myself, I've tried.

Extensive bottles of Xanax.

Even more bottles of Rum.

Kicking my dog.

Having a buddy wrap me in 100 rolls of duct tape to occupy my mind.

Telling myself everyone is as honest and respectful as I am regarding crops.

Telling myself I have a very determined (and very stoned.) Angel that will protect my crops.

Somehow none of this lessen my doubt and worry. Nor does it curb the helicopters I hear relentlessly in my sleep. So, how do you deal with the worry and stress along the last few weeks?

1) Twist one up.
2) Smoke it.

yep

worrying only makes it worse

I remember back in the day when I'd peek out the windows at every fucking helicopter or plane that sounded low n slow.

fuck that paranoia shit, a healthy dose is okay but when you start becoming a peephole warrior ya gotta just sit back, blow clouds, and realize that they either comin' for ya or they ain't. Not much else you can do.

There's nothing you can do....just hope for the best maybe spray and cut some mold out...

I've been drinking and smoking for 7 days straight.....

Sad But True

Get a stress ball, it will help strengthen your hands and help them not cramp up so much when you are clipping all that sticky.

Lol, I've smoked relentlessly for the last 2-3 years and that only seems to make it worse. Seriously, this is the worst time, 2-4 weeks before harvest. I apparently live under some kind of flight path and planes go over every 5 minutes or so...That doesn't particularly curb the helicopters/airplanes I hear in my sleep.

Every year it's the same, gut wrenching decision...Chop early while you can and before the rippers/cops get you or roll the dice. I've decided to roll the dice this year...

In time I learned to be more chill then dead about it at pretty much all times.

Shit is anyways not in your hands that way, so why bother?

Making things more exiting as it is could be your cause, so just be aware you are doing this to yourself.

It's only weed man, only weed. And what ever happens to you, well... there you are. So what?

Shhhh, chill, calm your head. Get real.

It's just the voices in our head that makes us do the things we do.

Everyone.

Also the chopper pilots in the sky.

Having no idea they are there because of the voices in their heads of wich we have no say or voice on how to direct them.

They come and go, just like mortals.

Only thing you can do is to become aware of this great game called life. ;)

A well ballanced bowl of ganja could help you make ease up a bit.

@ Cyat, I second your view on treating the dog but It's not about the strength of your weed. It is about how it's biochemical components are balanced.

Often times, strong weed happens to be completely out of balance causing either paranoia, anxiousness or a total numb out.

Find and stick to types of weed that work out best for ya, I'd say.

It's only weed man, only weed.

I keep telling myself that but don't think those around me in the coming year will be as sympathetic...

Actually, I'm coming to terms with the whole ''If it will, it will'' scenario (Again this year.) and am optimistic about finally conquering this phobia. I'll just feel a whole lot better come the end of August.

On this spot in the universe we are in September already. :D

But hmm, so It is about ppl having expectations from you eh?

Do they also think you are God allmighty?

I mean, Should be possible to make them understand to word up and get real about your situation wha?

Glad to hear you found an aproach that somehow seems to work for ya. :)

Jack, it never works to just hide your fears in drugs and alchohl! HA!

There is a cure/treatment. It starts with understanding that this year is over and the grow finished. There's nothing you can do about anything at this point. If you planted carefully, no worries. If not, you'lll need more Xanax.

Cure:

Begin working immediately on next years grow. Ive spent the last week ordering seeds. I have a list of other supplies from mulch to fungicide that i need and becasue some are expensive, its easier to spread the cost out over the months of winter. I have a schedule for the purchase of $225.00 worth of shit.

I now have 4 new holes completed. Theyve been dug and filled with soil. I have 16 more to work on while the wealther is still good.

There's really so much to be done and the harvest? Well theres just nothing you can do.

Focus on the things you can do -accept the things you cant impact much.
