Are OdorSok filters any good?

Whats the general concencus on OdorSoks? I have one at the moment but haven't put it to use yet as I haven't had the need as I'm still getting good odor control using a DIY on the exhaust I made using fishtank carbon and an ionizer for the rest of the house. I dumped all my old equipment a few years back and have been using lightweight stuff recently as my grows are strictly personal but I'm considering upsizing and need to know if these OdorSok things will do the job or if they are strictly for small cupboard grows etc.

Nope, worthless is the consensus. Get a Phresh filter, they are lighter and last longer than anything CAN makes.

sweet thanks for the responses, been AWOL for the last week... hand was just surgically removed from my new vaporizer yesterday and I'm still adjusting to not being in the upper stratosphere...
I was always sus on OdorSoks but I had to give them a run, if I find they are useful for a small grow a gifted odorsok to a friend with a small grow might be a good idea. I'm upscaling, sick of having no bud so I guess it's CAN or Phresh or whatever the market here in Oz is flooded with at the moment.

I made a DIY. For a tiny grow with little to no smell, they almost kinda work. For a real grow, I'd be too chicken to try.

Co-owner of a grow shop told me they work OK as a prefilter, but seem to have no affect on odor. He had already sold me a phresh.
FWIW. -granger

lazy... i rock multiple can 150s and phresh. both work great. only difference is that cans weight a fuckload more! lol.

It's not the investment, more that I'm slowly getting back to growing more than I am right now which is strictly personal. Thing is this little DIY I have is doing the job for now so I thought I'd see if the OdorSok is worth even considering for a 6 plant tent, seems not and if I really look at it I knew it would be useless but was hoping someone would say they're great. I bought the thing for a little tent after a legal run-in had me seriously downsize from a few KW to 130W cfls and UFO's, elbows to fingers I guess you would say. Loved my ozone generator! stupid ass me had to 'lend' it to a 'mate' who's going to be punched in the F%$KING head when I see him next as lending doesn't mean 'skipping town with for 12+ months' cheeky prick. Thing I loved about it was there was no need for centrifugal fans which are noisy and can be a pain in the ass, just stuck it in it's box, turned it on and the exhaust would make it's way out mixed up with ozone and no-one knew a thing. Apart from changing out the bulbs in them there's very little maintanence just a clean every no wand then. I don't have that option open now though so it's carbon filters or I get to inventing a new odor control mechanism, take a dump in my ducting and just say the toilet is wrecked if anyone asks why there's a shitty smell in the air.
