T8 spectrum to use ?

i mix warm and cool bulbs
Those really bright ones are taking advantage of human sensitivity to green, more green makes them appear brighter. Doesn't hurt vegging plants, in fact they like green if mixed with enough red and blue.
But back to clones, they don't need green so much. I tested banks of different T8's for cloning, phillips 5000K residential tubes worked the best on my strain. Not the brightest by any means, but the clones rooted sooner than the 6500K, and the leaves were healthier looking also.
A red light signal to the clone stimulates root and leaf growth, after those are established blue keeps the plant compact.
It is a weed though, hard to kill. The budroom setup affects which clone and veg methods are preferable.
