Should I top or supercrop -- first micro grow

Ok.. first off, I'd just like to say, much love for all of you guys... thank you so much for you roles in developing such a great academic resource.

Some background: I am currently on day 23 (from seed) of my first micro grow. Everything is going great so far because of all of your help. I have SCROG wires ready to hold fort, once they get up to height... I was planning on switching over to flowering at the end of this month (7 days from now).

My question is, should I TOP or supercrop at this point? Will it recover in a weeks time? or... will it recover fine in flowering? What would you guys suggest for a newb?

Difficulty = I know vegging longer and more LST and recovery time for top/super is ideal to maximize yield, but I need some product ASAP because of an event coming up and no local hookups.

In other words, I need the quickest way to maximize yield, giving that I'm already compromising yield... by not vegging longer than a month..

What would you guys suggest? Topping? Super? As always, much love.:thank you:

I'd just bend it down underneath the scrog wires. Stems and stalks often bend easier w/o breaking when plants are thirsty. Have some tape handy for the potential accident. Unless you have a clean break they're usually easy to tape back together.

nice start.

welcome to ICMag viziotv.

ime a week is gonna stress and the end will be less. there's a tradeoff to consider when trying to rush something tuned to it's particular frequency...

fimming is about all you can do...supercropping isn't happening in a week.

good luck, patience is expensive.

You could fim, crop, lst and scrog before and early 12/12

I wouldn't cut anything. You mentioned time being short so cutting now would be a step back. You mentioned scrog and you can do that w/o having to cut. Believe me, it'll make a big difference to keep everything if you want to flower now.

The plant will stretch and grow early into flowering...if youre going to fuck with the plant do it now.

Welcome aboard!

ScrOG is not something done at the end, it's done from the beginning. After 1/2-2/3 of the screen is full, then you flip (long sativas, flip first and screen throughout the grow). Apply a screen now, all you have is a plant with a screen in the middle.

The main shoot orders the rest of the plant to stay down while it takes the good stuff and the plant obeys. Cut off it's head, the next two take over, deliver the same message and the plant obeys. Bend the tip (LST/ScrOG) and the message becomes "I've fallen and can't get up." Now it's anarchy. Every stem will insist on being the biggest bud and the race for production is on.

I've seen ScrOGs high enough for grown men to sit under. I believe the sooner you hit the screen, the sooner you get the benefit of accelerated growth. How much of a gap do you need to get your hands underneath to the back of the screen? 6", 8" 10"? When it pokes through the screen, poke it back under. It'll try again tomorrow, poke it back under. Anything pokes throu...POKE, POKE, POKE, POKE, POKE! "Get under there!" Two(ish) weeks after the flip, when you see colas, those are allowed through the screen.

Break a stem.

Oops sorry I replied without reading further. If scrogging is an option you should def do that. I scrog all my plants. You want the best yield, that is the way to do it.
