As growers, we all value our privacy and security. But weed promotes socialization and for most of us, it's impossible to avoid visits from friends or family members. So how do you guys explain why a certain closet is locked, or tell somebody they can't go in the basement, without arousing suspicion? (points awarded for creativity, haha)

I usually say something like, "oh that room is full of spiders, you don't want to go in there". People never want to be around spiders.

the door is locked, it's storage, there's also a bunch of heavy large objects i can slide right in front of the door if need be, box of a billion records, big ass heavy bicycle rack for a car, big ass heavy old guitar amplifier, etc.

i use to say thats where i store all my stuff, and theres firearms and such in there so i keep it locked........but a gay playpen usually will scare them away too so take your pick

Ive had to do that before when people would show up randomly while I am watering plants or trimming or working in the cab or something. I hated it but sometimes its best to pretend no one is home.

That is if it is a random visit and not a scheduled/planned visit.

I say someone is sleeping in there. it accomplishes two things.
1. they don't go in there
2. they are quiet.

I would say an older relative is in there resting, maybe add an illness to the story and say they wouldn't respond well to being bothered.
