the Yankees magic # is now just 3, any combination of 3 Yankee wins or RedSox losses locks them in. 9 games to go in 8 days w/tomorrows double header.

Whoever (RedSox or Rays) takes 2nd place in the AL East will likely be the wild card winner. currently the sox have 88 wins which is 4 games better than the next 2nd place team and it looks like the NL wild card will be going to the Braves.

sure glad the Yanks clinched last night, they're down 12 ~ 0 to the Rays in the 4th inning already. The Yankees schedule closes with them playing Boston & the Rays again.......

these wildcard races are getting close..happy the phils already clinched considering they got their heads in their asses.

I see the giants are making a late run, may be to late though.

He might trim it, but never shave it. Good year Giants, too many injury's. Next year is another year, good luck to the teams still in it. All I care about is down with the Phillies! Only hating because of how good they are, sign of respect.

dude i have stood by the phils since 94 i know all the losing seasons i was at the vet when they would win 70 games a year. this recent losing streak has reminded about back then. i aint gonna lie im kind of worried about this 8 game skid heading into the playoffs. the pitching(except hamels today) has been kinda suspect, not even mentioning the offense.

The Yankees have been POUNDING lefty's all season long, they're hoping to catch the Rangers as their 1st opponents in the playoffs due to the fact they have 3 southpaws in their rotation. I believe the Yanks are 34~16 against lefty's this year.

cardinals got a cake remaining schedule. If they can't catch up they don't deserve it.

the Cards dropping this 1st one in Houston was big, might force a 1 game playoff, if Atlanta wins one of the last two from Philly & the Cards win the last two in Houston it's a tie for the wild-card.

the RedSox & the Rays are tied now with two games each to play, Sox are playing the basement Orioles (and losing still) and the Rays are playing the Yankees in Tampa.

Two very important games being televised on ESPN & ESPN2 tonight in a couple of minutes.

Philly @ Atlanta ~ ~ Braves must win this one.

Boston @ Baltimore w/the RedSox desperate.

I'll keep track of the Yanks/Rays game on mlb.com
