This was my "latest" upgrade....just turned it back on this week. So since this thread wasn't around a few months ago, I'ma go ahead and post it now


Its a DIY Vertical Yo-Yo light mover.

I took a standard 3.5 lightrail mover and a few dollars worth of parts from the Home de Pot, and made a rig to hang the lights from. The rig changes the linear motion into vertical motion.

wont that make the rollers wear out early? great idea anyhow as long as you got backups. makes me wish i didnt get rid of mine. now i want it back.

room got a lil warm over the last crop so were gettin some aircooled hoods, the room will then be 4 aircooled lights and 3 in adjustawing hoods

trays designed to fit the commonly used shelves as shown in the picture, with E&F fittings. get yourself some propagation trays with the mesh bottom...

I am almost done with my uprades. About 4 months in the making.

Only need a blockbuster hood!!!

Already installed:

2x4 tent
3x3 tent
600 watt lumatek ballast (moved the 400w magnetic ballast to 2x4 tent)
2 hortilux hps
1 600w badass mh
1 400w digilux mh
2 Phresh filters
2 phat mufflers
4" wind tunnel
4" tds (I think) inline fan ( for small veg cab)
6" can fan max
2 RDWC DIY systems

I think that about covers it all. Of course there were all the necessary small things too. Like hangers for the hoods, etc.

I've been doing this hobby for decades,we NEVER have it all man

Well i upgraded everything last year ,and am running the max number of watts my panel can handle.The only upgrade i could do would be T5 lights for veg,but this Mh is really doing a great job so we'll see if its necissary....

Damn that thing is sweet!!!..So im guessing the white ring around the trays is the lighting? I gotta check that out...

just bought another 600w, 3 total now

got another 6" S&P and a cooltube reflector plus a 400w MH for new veg area

still need new 4x4 tent and 3x3 tent. new PPM meter...

I've been giving a lot of thought to upgrading to a 30 year old. I always liked 25 yr olds but they all seem really grouchy nowadays.


Either way I sure hope she has a couple new light movers.

Mine just turned 30....I'm not sure they are like a fine wine, but hopefully you can find one with big light movers!

Renting a storage unit ($55-$75/ mo) to relocate 'stuff' that takess up 30% of the room I have my 5x5 tent in. It will give me enough lattitude to improve ventilation, install 2x4, think I'll try Secret Jardin, for vegging and have enough room for some storage. Maybe a co2 burner?? I dono if I want to run sealed room.

Last night I upgraded the ventilation on my two tents w/ 1kw's. Upgraded the 6" sunleaves centrifugal pushing through the hoods to an 8". Thought about going with the Can Max, but they didn't have the 3 speed switch on the 8, just on the 6. Thought about Elicent too, but the local store didn't carry it. The Sunleaves was the biggest 8" I've seen yet, lol. Huge, but decently quiet.

While I was installing that, I also switched to insulated flex duct on the light run. Nice combo, dropped the room 5 degrees those two upgrades.

Also moved my filter and rearranged those duct runs, more efficient now, and more balanced.

Now I have to cut some holes in my two GL80's, then I can put that 6" fan in place of the 4" that's there now, and then the 4" can go to my drying tent.

Woohoo! Things are really getting fine tuned. Can't believe I'm rocking 2800w when I started planning I was just going for 400w. hahaha.
