When is the best time to harvest seeds?

One of my plants is nothing but seeds, seems every dang bud got pollinated. When is the best time to harvest for seeds and what is the best method of storing them for next year's outdoor grow.

i wouldnt use that seedstock personally, unless u know where the pollen came from...

but if u are going to, wait until the seeds mature (get brown, stripes even better) and then chop the plant.

dry the entire plant fairly whole, u can snip large fans off first tho.

seperate the buds from the main stems when everything is nice and dry.

now...

follow the method used in hashbean's vid here... posting link is way easier than explaining with words hehe

Hey murderdeathkill, the pollen came from the male I had planted next to her and didn't pull fast enough., so they are the same does that make the seeds genetically undesirable? I have a shit load of them , probably 300....thats just a guess. I plucked one yesterday that the coating had turned brown....it was fat and dark and looked awesome.

You will see a lot of calyxes break/open, and you will be able to see fully matured brownish seeds inside. It's better for seeds to be fully ripen, then you will have 100% germ rates. Do not forget to cure the seeds before storing! They must sit in plain air to dry up for about 2-3 weeks then you can store them. Take care and enjoy :) And don't forget to share some seeds with friends! :D

ps It will be best If you had more callawayblue males to preserve more genes from the callawayblue gene pool, but you will be just fine with those seeds you made ;)

LSB - i see... well if the pollen was from a true male, then you can disregard my comment about not using the seedstock... i guess i jumped to conclusions for some reason. sorry bro

i was assuming that maybe it was seeds resulting from the pollen of a hermi plant... but since you are sure it was just a male u forgot to cull, then i say save those beans!
