400 watt coco cabinet- harvested

Hello guys and gals of Icmag. Thanks for checking out my grow. I built this cabinet because I needed more stealth than my previous cabinet offered. I have always admired stealth cabinets. Its amazes me that so much bud can be succesfully grown in such a small space, and keeping all of that hidden in plain sight is dificult. The cabinet is about 5 ft tall, 3ft wide and 2 ft deep, and I found it on craiglist for $20. I cut a 6 in hole in the top with a dremmel 8200 which would be my exhaust, and added two 8x8 darkroom vent louvers as intakes. Temps can get high sometimes but usually 82 at the top, and 78 at the base of the pots. The plants got really close to the cooltube and some did get a little scorched.... so you live you learn. So heres the breakdown.

Light-400 watt dimmable solis-tek ballast.

ventilation- 6in vortex on a speed controller pushing air into a can 33 filter.

Medium- 2 gal smart pots filled with straight b'cuzz coco.

Nutrients- House and garden's cocos a and b, and their multizyme. I also use canna's rhizo and pk 13-14.

Genetics- Feminized Chrystal (nlxww) from Nirvana.

This was the first time I have grown this strain and it did amazing. Even from seed these girls have identical growth through veg and into flower. Almost like growing from clone. It did have some foxtailing but I dont mind. I fed these girls light at around 1000-1200 pp m. I feed once a day for two minutes. I flushed these girls using clearex two weeks prior to harvest.

Well here are some pictures to show you what im working with.

This grow yielded me a tad over 11 ounces. I did set aside about an ounce of fluffier nugs that I will use for kief or butter. I thank you all for contributions to this amazing forum this grow wouldnt have been possible without you. I will try and answer any questions you have.

Got Dank- Well I cant really move the light up any further. With the fan, duct reducer, and the ducting connecting the cooltube thats as far as it goes. I have plants growing at the moment and I will be flowering them much earlier to keep them in check. I also lowered my screen a few inches to lower my veg time and give my light more range of motion. Thanks.

Red Stripe- Thankyou for your kind words. Did I get your first post? I feel so honored.Peace.

BG- Thanks BG. The plants are still curing at the moment so the smoke will only get better with time. I have smoked a bit of it and it is really good stuff. Pretty stoney, everytime I smoke the stuff I find myself staring at the wall for a minute or so. Been smoking alot of kief I got from trim. Very good stuff.

Thanks for the kind words everyone. I forgot to mention these girls were taken to 67 days of flowering. Peace.

Is that a bake-a-round cool tube? I bet that setup would kick ass going vertical on the HPS. You already ScroG to the sides, just go vert and have one straight tube in the middle of the cab. Probably less burning also, the tip of the HPS doesn't throw off the heat light the sides do. I am about to go vert with mine because the plants behind the bulb don't get the light they should either.

Nice grow though, buds look killer, minus the scorched middle, haha.

Hey TBM, yes that is a bake-a-round cooltube. Ive had it for a while and it works great. I agree that going vert in this cab would be very simple. It was the first thing I thought when I finished building it. Just becast the fan is directly above the growing area I could have a straight line of ducting which would be more efficient ventilation wise. I actualy did what your talking about in my previous grow with a 250 in my old cab.

I might try vert in this cab on my next grow, who knows. The flat scrogs, or in my case half pipe scrogs just seem to be less work. In a small cab it gets to be a PIA to try and reach around and find heads to pull into the sreen. But yea I will admit vert guys pull some serious numbers, its a very efficient use of space.

And one more thing. Does anyone know how to make these pics bigger? I'm having a hell of a time with them. Thanks.

Impressive stuff and I like the idea of the curved screen .... vertical next?

Ieatcubes, Jojo, Leeroy, Thanks for the kind words.

Bush Dr.- No vertical this next run. My girls have been flowering for about a week now. The only change I made was lowering the screen a few inches and cutting my veg time (5 weeks from seed). I like my half pipe screen and have faith that it can pull some good numbers once I get this cab dialed in.

Mountain High- Thanks for taking a look. Ive read through your 1k tent grow a few times. Love that raptor hood, very clean.

Thanks everyone for stopping in. I appreciate all the nice comments. I'll keep you all posted on how my current grow is going later on. So far there doing great. Feeding this round with Canna aqua series. I got a deal from my local hydro store. So far the plants show no signs of problems. Take it easy everyone. Peace
