Hey guys, I am currently running 4 strains under my new 600 air-cooled hps. They are not bought from from vendors here, so breeders will not be mentioned (altho the c99 used in the crosses was Mosca's). They are currently just over 2 weeks into flower, so I will begin the diary right from germ to now...

Back in July, I started 7 (6 crosses and 1 Jack 33 fem'd) beans looking for 4 females to flower out. All germed and were moved into the tent as soon as they broke the surface.

then I had a struggle with what I called "the lime green downards curlies" in seedling stage...

Figured out the problem and moved on to veg. Shortly thereafter, the chosen female plants were transplanted into 3 gal. icecream parlour tubs, and 1 rectangular wastebasket. had to discard 2 fems, i got 6 out of 7 fem. Took the strongest/healthiest 4, this meets my #'s for personal production.

Plants are, from:

Rear left: Jack 33 feminized.
Rear right: 3rd Dimension (3d) x Killer Skunk
Front left: 3D x C99
Front Right: K. Skunk x C99

On to next page... :rasta:

Onwards with veg. Plants have become the picture of health and are growing very fast. 1 week of vegging after upcan...

Due to fast growth filling the space, and expecting good stretch, at least from the c99 crosses I had to flip them after only 1 week of post-transplant veg... date of flip was Sep 2, here they are on the 6th...4 days in and lush as heck! :rasta:

I update once a week, this next set of pix is from the 13th. 11 days in 12/12, and I had to bend stretchy ones (the c99 crosses, go figure). only 1 is bent here, the other shortly thereafter...

That's it for now, they have progressed well since last pix. Next update will be on Tues nite/Wed AM, and every week after that until harvest. Hoping for bumper, have had bad luck recently (lost last 2 attempts - 1 indoor "upwards crispy curlies" death at about 4 weeks and 1 outdoor theft)

Gotta make up for it. Now that I have an aircooled hood and can run year-round, I can leave outdoor with all its associated problems/risks far behind...

Buying is for the birds, self-providing is the only way! :rasta:

Thanx guys, to answer the questions asked...

Jack will go 50-60 days, and the others 70-75. Yes, only 1 male from the 7 seeds... unusual, yes but in a good way I'd say.

Happiness scale - Am plenty happy with this garden so far & will get more and more so as they fill out (all murphy factors aside). Sure beats the arrgh factors experienced in the prev. 2 tries. Have been buying for too long - time to fill my jars at no cost like it should be!

The tent is finally getting dialed in I think. The next 6-7 wks will tell.. :rasta:

looks goods. early on, when you first begin, it unbelievable how much you improve with each grow. if your fifth isnt leaps and bounds better than you first then you suck at life! okay, just joking but i think you catch my drift.

i love this thread and will be watching with my delight

Yah, I catch the drift...My 1st attempts were over 2 decades ago. mostly outdoors until recently.

Indoor is getting better now mostly due to having the necessary equipment. Last indoor that died, I didn't have either an aircooled lamp or a tds meter... had to guess strength, and temps got too hot w the old, uncooled 400. Obviously, plants were not too happy then...

But they are now. No sign of the beginnings of "crispy curlies", and on that last one that failed - it was there in spades by 3 weeks in.

(I suspect the C.C's were caused by too strong mixture/not enuff drainage or ph buffering - unhappy roots)

More perlite & lime added to the promix seems to have done it so far...as well as being able to mix to precise ppm.

(I'm using about 1000, G/T 100 and ph of 6.2-6.4...)

New pix tonite/tomorrow, first trichs are coming in now. :rasta:
