Autoflowering male?

S

I have 2 males from a cross of chem4 and kush.

They have been in a room with a bunch of females under 24 hours of light. Many plants have matured and started showing preflowers. Both male plants from this cross started showing male preflowers, and then one of them started going into full flower and is now dropping pollen.

Both of them are really vigorous and stinky. I like them and want to use them.

Just switched lights to 12/12 a few days ago.

Anyone come across this, and is it good or bad? Should I use it or chuck it?

Growdoc's Angeldust males do exactly the same and i found this extremely useful to sex plants very easily so i'd say use that male and try to isolate the trait.

Hey Krull thanks a lot for the reply! Why do you consider this a good trait?

I really like this male because he stinks so damn much and he's definitely a strong hearty stud. My fear was that this would cause his offspring to autoflower.

Hey Scrappy,

having males that flower under veg light schedule makes almost dumb-proof sexing the plants so i find it useful especially for growers (as a breeder you cant keep the males in veg but you can still collect the pollen for later use). In Angeldust the autoflowering trait does not transfer to females offsprings but your result may vary so you can give it a try and verify ;)

I have the same thing happen to me with the Vortex seeds I got from TGA. Im very new to breeding and I figured that the trait would be bad so I chucked them. Now Im regretting it

My males auto when they are root bound. Unfortunately, they are almost always root bound.
It is not a full auto either....they are rightfully referred to as preflowers
