How many 5 gallon pots in 4X8 room under 1000w HPS for max production

5 gallon buckets are 12" in diameter and a 1k is good for a 5x5 foot print.

So 5x5 = 25

For future reference just divide the length and with of you room by the diameter of your containers

If you do 20+ plants in that area don't let them get to big before you flip them. The room will be packed. Hard to water ect.

Full grown plants,sea of green, scrog or vertical? Are they Indicas, Sativas or mixed? Will you just let them grow or will you prune or train them? Depends on your modus operandi. You have to make sure sufficient light gets to anyplace on the plant that you expect decent flower growth from.

We get away with 18 ladies comfortably in the 4 x 8 tents. That gives enough space to tie down as they stretch but we still need to take out the front few to water.

I do 8 in 26sq/ft and find it a bit crowded. You have more space than light. The plants on the end would get less light than down the sides. So 12 plants under the light say.

Oh yeah, I forgot to say that there are 2 1000W HPS in that room.
1K isn't enough light for that space. Our other room is 4 x 5 and it has 1 1000W.

I have 4 lights in a 10'x10' room, I was thinking my next run in it, I plan to try a scrog. One side will be 4'x10' the other 8'x4' giving a 2' walkway. The side thats 8'x4' Im going to try 3 10gallon smart pots.

Imo: all depends on your growing style.. less plants but bigger would be easier to maintain depending on how the room is accessible.

19 is perfect for a 4x8 but in 3 gallons
you can problably pull 1lb 1/2, with 1200 you should be able to pull 2 lbs

4x8 tent 2 600's 19 plants in 3 gallons = 2 lbs
