nutrient deficiency/toxicity. Mg? Thanks for looking (PICS)

ok, here's my bullshit. thanks for the help.

tahoe is entering 6 week of flower. is on 8/16 GH Lucas mix. have been adding pro-tek silica to that, and the ppm has been
around 900-1100 the last few days. she went up a bit higher last week, but i decided to run her low this first run. pH has
been in the high 5s. she's a foot or so under a 600, with sidelighting from a 1k.

the lower lightening/fading and also the development of necrotic edges on upper leaves has been happening for maybe a week
now. a week it's been noticeable fully. slight signs, like leaf margin crispness almost 2 weeks ago. some leaves had the
bright/bleached areas on them, some had the faded-to-light-green with gray/brown splotches.

overall plant health is good still. firming up, golfball sized nugs are connecting up the colas.

because of the lower leaves i'm thinking its Mg.

i added a low dose of ca+mg from GH general organic line.

i'm not running organic, just the damn lettering looks FN identical on the GH and GO logo. kinda dumb, i'll claim that.

the blue dream is in week 6 also, has been in GH Lucas 8/16 running around 1000 ppm. also had some silica in that one.

same pH. i cleaned its reservoir out and added half the nutes, and a tsp/5gal of MOAB bloom fert like an hour ago. also added some ca+mg. just a bit.

i'm not really sure what the blue dream is. potassium toxicity? the dyna grow bottle i used has leaked some liquid out, so
it's more potent than it should be. i just figured that out. as soon as i can find a gallon container, i'll add 1tsp to
water and the label says i should be at 100ppm. but i don't have one atm.

oh yeah, the blue dream has a few leaves with crispy edges, as pictured. only on the edges though. the dotted leaves don't have dead edges, vice versa. [some of the smaller tahoe leaves (newer-ish) have the same gray dead areas pictures, but on more of the leaf, and no lightening.] they point upwards too,
kinda curling, which i've seen before with a mag deficiency...

the blue dream pics have been through a contrast filter to show a more accurate contrast/color. my cameras white balance
went shit on those two.

thanks for the help

the nugs are a thickening!

for now!

to me they seem over fed. i always find when i get the burns on the bottom right leaf in the first picture its always to much phosphorous...

when you over load on P it can lock out MG and cal.

if you have a ppm meter and a ec meter.... take them out the room and run ph'd water on a low solution (200ppm) and check the run off... youll have to dump at least double if not triple the amount of you medium...

there also good chances that your feeding so high theres salt buildup in your medium and your plants can burn that way....

flush check runoff of flush you should know alot more then....

the dots on the blue dream remind me of spider mite damage... look under the leafs for bugs...

I agree with PTB... It definitely looks like excess Phosphorous is causing lockouts in your medium..
If you don't feel like flushing that volume of water through your containers then you should look into a clearing product which will help flush out salts..
Check for pests too, but I don't think they're there..
Definitely check run-off and dial back your nutes.

hmm, some things i didn't mention.... sorry.

i'm runninng hyddro, water culture. the med/low Lucas is 900~ when mixed in RO. my green cracks and c4, are running between 1200-1400. i have clones running @ 650pppm.
it's a pretty mmooderate dose.
this site stutters my tablet, mmy typing iss ridiculous.

well, if you're reading it as exxcess phos, i just cchanged re, so no buildup.

as for the spots, they're not mites. i've dealt with them before, lill bitches.

hhmm...maybe i should run them on plaiin water for a feww days....

thanks for the advice eeugene & er, poop.

since your running rdwc i would say DEFF scale back your nutes... you shouldnt need to go above 800 in rdwc... are you in a rdwc or single buckets???

yeah, single buckets. usually i veg in 5gallons, that have a modified float valve to add back RO, then i fill with fresh and repeat.

then i move to 18gal tubs and addback with 50% until i've added 75% of volume roughly, then i dump and add fresh.

i've been seriously fucking up on that with this grow. so the 5 gallons have been getting extremely accumulated between flushes...

i'm adding 50% till i've added 5 gallons and then filling with fresh now.

after the fresh fill, the tahoe uptake was like 2 gallons in one cycle. it was taking up maybe 3"/light cycle for a week or so...bad shit.

thanks for getting me rejiggered on the right path guys.

you're welcome for the laughs, O rly

:)

although, i do pump some plants past 800. heavy feeders. but i don't keep them just under nute burn, 1200 is usually as high as i'll go, and only for a transition like the xfer to flower/stretch (lower N and add a smidge 30-50 bloom fert for a week) and shit like that...

anyway, i be long winded.

seems like you know what you are doing ;) like that you dont take my loling personall ;)

in generell I want to suggest to never feed more until you see normal signs of deficiency as long as the nut numbers are not dialed in with the strain
