I say move on. It may seem like a big deal now but he burned his bridge and any future business is done with. Im sure he would have benefited more so not doing what he did and in the long run you will be better off. Be thankful nothing violent happened to you or your family. Be thankful he showed his colors now and you didnt get screwed on something larger. Had this been something larger or something happened like him getting busted he could have snitched and worse things could of happened. Like i said be thankful, close that chapter, and dont allow yourself to dwell as it could potentially make your situation worse.

I lost about 9k in high grade indoor and this guy thinks he is just entited to keep the 15k or more in equipment and labor it took to start the room. I originally told him lets do 8 grows together and you can keep the whole room after that. .

Bigdawg,,,,one thing Ill never understand about people that are rippers is that they do answer their phone. Its like why do you answer? I have this other prick that never paid me like 5k from a while back and if I call him he typically answers and just keeps making excuses lol : ) ..........but to answer your question yes I have talked to him and he (hes allready used the I got ripped scenario in the past) just tells me look I cant pay you, which of course sounds retarded and is a lie. And just to be clear the grow is at his house and he harvested, I didnt front anything except the labor and parts for the growroom.

Paulo73,,,,,This is a dangerous line of business I suppose what with all the people that are fake growers and like to shit on people : )......not to mention risk of arrest, people following you home after learning that you are a grower or have pds etc etc.

One thing I will say though is that it has taken me 5 years to learn how to manage people and larger amounts of cash. A lot of times there are so many pds and so many grows going on that it is easy to become lazy..Im currently working on that. One positive beneficial thing that marijuana provides for all of us is the ability to help people out. I really enjoy that aspect. Its a kick in the balls to have a ripoff occur but it is also very nice to finally be in a "circle of trust" ,hard to come by for sure.

Hope your all smoking something great today whatever strain it may be.

Being a broker/grower for the past five years has been awesome. Cant imagine doing anything else. Of course there was a point in my life where I was struggling and thought id never find my true calling. I guess everyone goes through that phase. I just remember working in offices and warehouse's and restaurants and thinking there has go to be something better than this lol. I had like 150 different payroll jobs before I moved to Cali and was introduced to growing by this chic I met on craigslist.

So anyway being a broker or grower makes you a target for two things,,police and rip off con artist people. I mean you are exposed to so many type of people in this industry especially in California. Its really expansive and out here it takes a long time to get a trusted small circle of people that you hang with or even deal with or talk to. Your dealing with bipolar growroom builders lol your dealing with youngsters looking to get their start , your dealing with psycho girlfriends, 6 ft 4 black guys and your ordinary white boys like me. My favourite aspect is the hot trimmers : ) and the men with briefcases lol

With all that being said if you get ripped by someone that you thought was honest and your feeling a true monetary loss from it what do you do? Ive had all kinds of people not pay me back for fronted weed, equipment or whatever. I mean it happens to everyone out here. God I remember a hippy stealing 30k in pot from another good friend whose wife had cancer at the time. When people see you doing good they get mad or jealous and just rip you or whatever. Usually I let it slide because im not in a situation to get in any more trouble with the law, I mean noone wants to go to jail. I'm also a very passive person and I figure what goes around comes around.

Anyway I just had a trusted employee run off with a 9 pd indoor harvest. I was very trusting with this guy , I trusted him with doing business and like you would trust a family member. I bought him a car to help him out , he did deliverys for me to make extra loot blah blah.

So growing 9 pds indoor takes a lot of effort and im feeling a big loss here , owe people money , could use the money but its gone now oh well......What would youguys do in this situation? I know where he lives who he hangs with etc...

I know its a tough question but im truly baffled why people take advantage like this when half the harvest was his anyway..

I am a trustworthy man. By the sound of it you are too. I was ripped off my last batch and I started a similar thread. The most common reply from the growers in general was "take it on the cheek". Not necessarily in those words but you get the idea. Someone said "you're not made for this game" and for that I thank him. It completely changed my business model. I no-longer deal with credit. I even lowered my prices to accommodate. ABSOLUTELY NO CREDIT!

Sorry about you luck man. Gonna play the game these things are bound to happen, just the nature of the beast. How you handle things is situationally dependent. I had a partner rip me for a bunch of equipment and large portion of the harvest. That person no longer has use of either of their hands. I grew up in an enviroment where respect is valued above all else, and I don't take kindly to people abusing my good nature. I much prefer the non-violent approach, but depending on the situation sometimes it's warranted. Ultimately how you deal with this is up to you, but if you just let it go you have painted an easy target on your back. I hope that you are able to resolve this and move forward, I enjoy watching your grows. Good luck buddy.
