as a Boulder, CO resident, I gotta say..

I think this is the 3rd best place to live in the USA. Number two I still say Humboldt, although lots of cynical old-timers think it's ruined (it's on the verge, but not there yet IMO). Number one I say Ocean Beach San Diego, CA.

where do you love in the USA?

All those places kick ass. Humboldt is great outside of arcata/eureka nonsense (greed&wannabees). Ocean beach brings back fond memories of surf, girls, surfgirls...
but ultimately Im a mainer, and our motto (besides vacationland) is the Way Life Should Be!
and Id have to agree with that.

Never lived humbolt... can't say for sure... but boulder is fucking nice... the U, the food, the eclectic group of people... the girls, oh the girls... all the outdoor activities you could want, esp w a little drive... the mountains are right there, rivers, hunting, paragliding... people are really cool, town is super clean, if not a bit anal... and the cops are kinda cool. when you're moving 6' tall plants into a uhaul truck, and they are there patrolling the complex for you... pretty cool. Boulder Bubble for a reason... you get there & never need to leave.

I'd still pick Bend though. ;-)

Maine

The only problem is harsh winters if it wasn't for a bad back i would live there in a heartbeat.

I grew up in Jersey at 12 i could be in penn station in 40 min go to china town or what ever i wanted it was cool as, then when i was 15 the fam moves to Maine and i thought my life was over...

no shit i was gonna run away n all that, but once and met a few cool people that took 2 Daze... i realized this actually is "The Way Life Should Be"

It wasn't always easy being a city slicker greenhorn flatlander type but i didn't give a shit and was eager to live like them.

Graduated Massabesic a long time ago spent some summers on Monhegan as well Awesome island

Great Place hope the rest of the east coast goes leagal so it doesn't get fucked up!!!

Austin rocks in more ways than one. Tuscon is great if you like the desert. Santa Fe is pretty darn nice. Boulder is hard to beat but I also like Durango...if you don't mind being in that canyon. For the Northeast I'd have to vote Vermont or New Hampshire or southern coastal Maine is great if you wanna be on the ocean. North Carolina is about as south as I'd want to get on the east coast and some great areas in that state.

I hate the weather on the Norcal coast and prefer the waaaaaaay central Cali region near Oregon or south central Oregon near Ashland.

I lived a lot in the north San Francisco Bay area and Sebastopol is sweet. Santa Cruz is cool but preferred it about 25 years ago.

Guess it depends on if you like chocolate, vanilla or Cherry Garcia!

that would be MI... and it was the appeals court ruling... saying dips aren't protected under the MMj laws. should go to state sc, so not finished yet. and cities still have the reg's on the books & those are staying open, to the best of my knowledge.

If I could live freely anywhere it would be New England. Vt,or Maine. Connecticut sucks, too close to NY.
I love Northern Ca,but no matter how hard I try I can't make it feel like home.

Never been anywhere else.

Without putting to fine a point on it, they're different than us

Cali is a novelty, the legality issue matters not to us, as in to say it's not enough to make us change our stripes.

Not most of us anyway :tiphat:

Born and bred in CT near Bridgeport/New Haven. Left in 1986 and never looked back. Guess I was born in the wrong state lol. I love high desert. Most people don't that's why not many around thank god.
