Mold...How much difference can a few hours make?

So everyone I have a little situation on my hands here....I'm in Ontario, Canada and am lucky enough to be growing a faster finish strain...usually it doesn't get cold until October but no such luck this year. I was planning on cutting my shit down 2 days from now when my partner (please dont preach about partners, this cat is pretty much my brother and my first ever grow with him was when I was 13 years old) gets home and he is the one with transportation. Will today my brother asked me if I could run some errands with him using his vehicle and since were he wanted me to go was very close to one of my spots i agreeded so I could go check my plants for signs of mold as I had been worrying about the recent weather. Now the plot I went to check was planted much later then my other plots so the plants are much smaller. There was VERY small amounts of mold on the biggest ones. Now even though there was not much at all I am very concerned cause at each spot it is the same strain and at my other spots the plants are much bigger with fatter,denser cola's. I am very fucking worried about my plants so worried that I told my brother I need to use his car to go cut them without my partner which I am sure he will be sad to miss but also understand. Now I can either use my brothers car tonight at 2 in the morning i dont not want to do because it will be pitch fucking black, or I can use it sometimes between 6 and 8 in the morning....Now I need to know do you think if I wait at the most 6 hours to go check will this make a much bigger difference? I have heard of mold killing everything in a matter of days and it is very very cold tonight and will continue to be cold untill lunch time so I think the early the better but I really want to wait the few hours because harvesting at night is going to be one fucking big bitch.....

If there was some visible on the outside then the inside of the buds along the stem is all moldy I bet. You're probably fucked bro.

yea i agree with that.... when i check for mold, i peel budlets away from the stalk in the main cola sections... if ur seeing mold on outside of the tops that is no bueno.... checking every bud for mold is no fun bro, but smoking moldy shit is DEADLY. i'd get on it, and cut all the bad spots out ASAP!

I should have been more specific, When i check for mold I do dig right in there and peel shit back to check. Although I am not lucky enough to check my plants every single day and when I was there a week ago there was no signs of mold and the weather has been beautiful and warm aside from the past 2 nights of very cold temperatures and pouring rain. This prompted me to go check even though the next time I wanted to go was chop day. I just got back from chopping all my big plants down and so far I have hardly found any mold I think the smaller plants I went to check were more prone to mold since they were in more of a shaded spot with no morning sun, all my other plants have sun on them all day and I believe the morning sun is key for preventing mold. Anyway thanks guys, ya scared they shit out of me and pretty much saved my ass. Im very fucking happy right now.

I have the same fears ... my GG x Danish Passion had mold on the stem and some buds so i cut it out... but the weather over here is a atrocious with the tail end of hurricane Katia just passed .... constant driving rain , high winds = bud rot. Not good at all. i pray they aren't all fu*ked by now.
