Got my chair. The lucifer should take care of the slow veg and low stretch, could be some good growing and yielding bubba hybrid.

Hey Karma, :tiphat:

That's exactly what I was hoping for. I've heard the Katsu cut has a better stretch than the Pre-98 and mixed with the lucifer it should have a decent stretch. I have vertical flower space for these girls to hit ~36", thinking about flowering around ~16" and go minimal on training. Stake 'em and let 'em fill in al Naturale.

Things got slightly delayed, ~48hrs, waiting on coco.....then it's on!!

The plan right now is to veg these girls under a 400W MH for ~30-40 days, in coco coir, until sexed. After that they'll be flowered in a 3'x3' space under a 600W HPS for ~70-75 days. Thinking 3" pots initially, flowering under 5"x5" or 1 gal, plant # depending.

Nutrients will be Cutting Edge Micro/Bloom, Cal-Mag, Multizyme, Koolbloom(liquid & powder), Sugaree, and Floralicious Plus. Activated compost teas will be fed as well. Bacterial in late veg, early flower, flush and fungal mid-late flower.

That's about it for now, show some pics once they're up and out of their shells.

Finally.....an update around here....:)

Go away for a week and all hell breaks loose.....

After being in coco liners too long, becoming root bound, and locked out they're finally coming around.

Day 30 veg, post sprouting.....all 9 seedlings still looking sleepy just before lights on. Somewhat stretchy, due to initial ~20 days being under an old 400W MH.

All were topped and will be transplanted to 1 gal pots of coco very shortly. Haven't seen any sexes yet from these, 3 of 11 other seedlings showed male so far.

pH-5.7-5.9
ppm ~700-800

Another 7-10 days veg and plan to flip 'em to flower after cloning.

About all for now,

Here we are a week later, day 37 from seed. Transplanted to 5"x5" pots and looking much happier. Root systems look good on all plants, nice & thick white roots. Wish I took some shots during transplant.

1 male Beelze Bubba showed himself and was culled. Still 8 remaining, think 1 or 2 might be males, but looks like there are 6+ females. 6 other plants on the right, 3 Buffalo Bill & 3 Northern Dreams, share the space.

Really liking the structure on these girls. Seems to be a mix of phenos here, some Lucifer leaning, some Katsu leaning, some a mix of both. Can't wait to see how they look in flower. Ignore plants on the right in whole group shots.

pH - 5.6-5.9

Putting out nice growth now, plan on cloning all soon and flipping to flower in a few days.

Thanks Karma! Yup, pheno's are starting to show nicely now. I'm getting excited, :jump::jump:. Have to say THANK YOU once again for these testers, looking very promising so far!!

Need to apologize on my lack of updates so far, brother has been busy, but should be able to do weekly updates at least from here on out.

Here are flower shots, day 11 before lights on. Ended up with 6 females out of 10 plants, nice and sturdy with a heavy kush structure, decent stretch so far.

Plants were flowered at ~ 12" height and currently are 18"-20", with heavy super-cropping. Imagine they'd be ~24" without the training. They look to have roughly 5-7 more days stretch, so guessing a gain from stretch of ~ 100-150%. Bushing out a bit too, not just vertical growth. Guessing these stretch till ~ 24" before they stop.

pH ~ 5.6-5.9
ppm ~ 800

Whole table (6 Beelze Bubba, 2 Buffalo Bill, 1 Northern Dreams)

THANKS Milo! :)

:bump::bump:

Day 32 flower here.

......OKKK.....

1st things first.......had a slight issue with male flowers. Honesty is my policy, and have to mention it happened. I found ~20-25 balls on 3 of the 6 Beelze Bubba, 2 plants having ~8-10, 1 plant having 3-4. This was at day 31 of flower, and only 3-4 balls had opened/slightly opened to expose nanners/potential pollen. My guess is these started forming no more than 5-6 days ago. I have 3 other test plants in the same tent, 2 different strains, none showing any male bits......so I believe the environment is still sound.

All were on the lower 1/2 of the affected plants and at/in the base calyx at the beginning of a node. None were in the flowers and simply came off with a pluck.

This is a trait I've personally seen in several Sour/Chem/Kush hybrids.......few plants from seed showing a few balls like this, balls pulled, never showed anymore throughout flower. Subsequent clone runs showed absolutely NO trace of male flowers.

Besides that slight hiccup, all is good! REALLY liking #6, she already looks like my keeper, great tric coverage and a nice kush funk. Getting a nice earthy, kush smell from all of them. #4 has a much more lemon-pinesol, hashy smell......believe that is the Lucifer showing it's traits.

Not going to let a small roadblock stop this show. Onward & upward!

WHAT? WHATT?? WHATTT??? WHATTTT?????

KARMA,

PLEASE take a deep breath and relax!!!!!

I am 1 tester, who popped 10 seeds. Out of 6 females, only 3 showed issues and they're MINOR.

It's very possible and very likely I'm the cause for this intersex issue

It's very hard to say at this point what is the cause of the stress causing this brief issue. It's not temperature stress, steady max temp of 75-77F/low temp of 70F. I don't believe it's light stress, but perhaps there is a light leak I'm unaware of. I don't believe it's nutrient/pH stress, but perhaps there was a pH swing I missed. After the grow is finished I'll have a better chance to check for light leaks. I'm human like the rest of us and could have unknowingly made a mistake I never noticed.

My whole point being, issues from 1 tester is no reason to pull a release!!

Please take a look @ #6 Beelze Bubba again.

I still have all 6 plants running, haven't seen another sighting of a single male flower in 3 days. They're putting out great resin and starting to bulk up nicely. I'm still very serious saying #6 is looking like my stunner of all 9 plants I have going, 3 being 2 other strains.

I'll gladly buy 1 of everything @ release, including a Beelze Bubba. This is a great hybrid to pheno hunt.

Have a smoke, think about it again, then let us know how you feel. I think you have some gems people would LOVE to get their hands on........:2cents:

I am letting them go, if seedbay accepts.

I did not grow the beelze bubba, i grew all others together with a local friend, not one problem,

I just let the emotiens get the best of me this morning, But letting them go with a warning is better.

A test grow is a test grow, everyone of them is important, and the more the better info.

Man i realize i didnt even read your whole post, and didnt look at the picture's.

They look good, but keep a eye out. the buds look very clean.

I think a warning is a very fair, I can't imagine Seedbay wouldn't accept them.

Exactly, a test grow is just that......a test. In my test there was a slight hiccup, but all is well and looking DANK. Can't wait to see day 50ish+ at this rate.

Don't think much/any pollen was released/attached to any pistils, not seeing any die off as if pollinated.

My #6 is seriously up there on resin and bulk for this early. Really nice denseness too.......looking just like something I'd expect from my stock of mom's......

I hate to mention another breeder/strain here, but the story has a point.

I had a similar issue my keeper pheno of Sour Diesel x Chem 4 (4SD by Reservoir). Different grow medium, different set-up, all different from this grow. Same male flower issue here, happened with that pheno, 8-10 balls, all lower nodes......pulled 'em and never came back that round. Dried it and found the smoke from her is INSANE. Kept the clone, have ran her 4-5+ times in various set-ups........NOT A SINGLE MALE FLOWER EVER AGAIN. Still have the clone & still knocking my stupid.

Whether it's stress, a lack of "maturity" in plants before flowering, I'm not really sure. Had subsequent clone runs, RAN THE SAME, all going absolutely flawlessly. I've personally seen this happen with a few Chem, Diesel, Cali Kush hybrids..........believe that is the same case here. Something they didn't like, pop a few balls to ensure reproduction, and continue to flower.

Point being: First runs aren't always ideal and sometimes shit just happens even if they are. Keep clones, check for any mistakes, and run 'em again.

Wish I had some buds from more of my moms to compare.......#6 is rivaling most of the indica hybrids on size, density, and trichome production.........just saying.......:):)

That #6 looks damn good, Brother!

THANKS Ras!!! I just went to check them all out again. 2 more days, not a trace of a male flower......looking good!

I might have gotten ahead of myself saying #6 looks best......#5 is starting to STINK, very strong lemon-fuel, funk and she's rapidly gaining calyxes & resin. Very solid, uniform bud structure from top to bottom too......REALLY liking that. Kind of a bubba influenced structure on the stature with lucifer leaning traits. She's a day or so behind #6 in size/resin, but catching up quickly.

Grow is starting to get good, I'll have to get some more shots up in a few days.
