I don't think it takes more than a day for the temperature to reach equilibrium (if such a thing is possible).

As far as the LED light, I don't think you need to worry about it in general, and especially because it was red.

80 is fine.... even if its 85 youll still be ok... dont worry bout the LED light... 6 hrs aint sheeittt....your ac unit is set at 60, and it can't cool the room below 80? sounds like a weak unit or perhaps your room is bigger then what the unit can handle... good thing for u and most other growers is that winter temps are on their way...

I'd be a lil worried if that was my temps with ac cranked down. Keep an eye on your humidity levels. If the ac keeps it in check then ya could always take the duey out. If your running co2 then above 80 is fine. Ya said ya had an air cooled light. Mabey a bigger fan on the ducting or try to rearranging the ducting with less bends in the ducting to improve air flow. I'm not saying ya plants won't grow at 80 just saying your fighting to keep it at 80 isn't ideal. So hope some of these ideas help with heat issues if they get out of control. Best of luck!

Turn off your dehumidifier during the summer. They produce TONS of heat. Once it gets cold outdoors you can bring the dehumidifier back into the tent for a heat boost and some humidity control.

I also rock a 5x5 tent with a 600w HPS. My average humidity and temperature use to be 50% and 82f. I turned my dehumidifier off in JUNE. I spent money on a 450 cfm fan to bring fresh air into the tent and AMAZINGLY the avg. humidity and temp dropped to 35% and 78f.

It's hard to spend money on new gear. But I'm happy to say it really works. The tent has two fans: one fan evacuates air from the tent through an air cooled hood, and the new fan brings cool air in. Buying another fan also allows you to upgrade your lighting in the future. 1200watts in a 5x5 tent would be tits.
