Contaminated hash

I just acquired a tiny bit of hash that has some vermiculite in it. (very little) would it be safe to smoke? I understand that I could purify this using a solvent however I don't feel like going a ways out to get some ISO and would prefer to smoke it as is. I won't get silicosis will I? I understand that it requires long term exposure but I'm always paranoid. Would be hitting it out of a bong if I were to smoke.

Pretty sure, I also know that it has been smoked by the one who gave it to me (also the one who made it). So, it's a (minor-moderate-major) health hazard? Guess I'll have to go purchase some iso.. Thanks for the quick heads up had a packed bowl ready to go but I cleared that shit out. Guess I'll stick to buds for now

Vermiculite could have asbestos in it man... I don't include it in my soil mix anymore...

verm is pretty innocuous, if thats really what it is. but always better safe than sorry. I've eaten a fair bit of incidental verm, don't ask why, never hurt me any...

Vermiculite is hydrated laminar magnesium-aluminum-iron silicates. The MSDS lists it as a nuisance irritant to the lungs with a TLC of 3 mg/ per cubic meter.

Thank you! It's not in granule form so it would end up in my lungs for sure. It's a tiny pinch way less than 1mg. I simply cannot enjoy being high when I have to worry about shit like this, so it's binned for now.
