Anybody use these dechlorination/water treatment drops I see at the local pet stores? Supposed to eliminate the chlorine, nitrates in tap water to make it safe for fish and aquatic plants.

Label says non toxic to humans, pets. Currently using straight tap water, but thought about giving these a try.

To be honest, its not really the chlorine you need to worry about, simply aeration will let the chlorine burn off. The chloramines are the ones you really need to bind up and remove. I personally use a product called Amquel+, it binds and eliminates chlorine and chloramines. The plus variety I prefer over the original product, but it serves dual purpose since I also keep fish.

ive been using those drops for the last two grows to break up the chloramines. i dont have an ro system anymore seems to be working fine.

I think Buying an RO system was the one of the best purchases I have made. Pure clean water! No more bottled water! Not to mention bottled water is bad for you. Most bottled water has fluoride in it. Not good stuff. If I were you go buy a stealth RO100 they are about $200.
