Because a 300w+ psu for a 5w fan is a gigantic waste.

To run 2 12v fans off 24v you wire them in series.

just a note, just b/c a psu is 300w, that doesn't mean it actually uses 300w. It doesn't usually even use all the watts it's rated for when hooked up to an actual pc. To each his own, but i prefer a psu versus a bunch of adapters. It also makes future upgrading a breeze, i.e. more fans. The only real drawback is the size of it, tends to take up a lot of room. In order for the psu to work for the fans without being plugged into a motherboard, you have to jump a green wire to a black wire with a paperclip, cut them from the plug and wire em together, or wire them to a switch.

Wow waay too much advise on wiring, If you arnt a trained, certified electrician you need to take this to one. If your too cheap for that then your too cheap to grow. PERIOD use ur head!

lol. why would anyone take a dc axial pc fan to an electrician. if anything you would take it to someone certified in electronics, seeing as certified electricians deal with almost always ac (alternating current), and he simply asked about a dc (direct current) fan. this is low voltage man no need to over react and try to throw the man into a panic. now, i agree...he needs to do a lot more homework on electricity as he could of hurt himself, but his question can be answered by someone that has correct knowledge on the subject, and collectively icmag has that. Now if anything, lets hope our friend learned to do some research before commandeering such a task.

under the sun during the day then i bring her in at night under 150 hps

but im about to were i can not bring her out anymore

cuz im having to bend the hell out of her to get her out from underneath the scrog net and i dont want to end up tearing any of the leaves

yea, just let her rip with the 150. i've scrogged with a 150, and it did a pretty good job. nl is one of my favorite strains to grow indoors. i tell you, i also scrogged it under a 150 plus a 65w floro vertical style, and i tell you what kid, my buds were as dense as some other strains that i seen grown with 1000w. good luck, and have fun!

Think its been said but it won't use all 300w all the time, it only uses what's under load.

Buy a DC adapter cut the end off and attach it to the PC fan
