Storing freshly cut weed in fridge?

I have about 40 plants outdoors that need to be removed/chopped before the weekend for security reasons. I can't get then into my carbon drying chamber right away. The best solution I can come up with is to store in the fridge for a max 8-9hrs before can properly dry them. Is this going to create mold in that amount of time? Only other option is to store them cut/outside in a box overnight.

When i drop one of my indoor plants and can't get thru trimming in the first night I'll slap the remaining in the fridge to keep it fresh until I can get back to it. Left one in there for 3 days with no issues other than it making my garage reek to high hell.

Good luck and happy trimming!

Thanks for the quick reply. So it being stored in your fridge, the smell still seeped out?? This is my concern (odor).

Yes, quite a bit too,.... but the fridge in question is in the garage and it has been converted to a Kegerator. Pretty F'n sweet to be able to tap a beer, open the door and grab a bud tho! :pimp3:

Bengi....I can tell you that it'll definitely be fine, and as long as your fridge seals like it should, there'll be no smell. The main reason for this is the low temperature. You should not put it in sealed bags or containers, because they'll immediately condense water as the air and buds in the bags drop in temp. Leave the tops open for the first half hour or so, then cover.
Once I took it all out to trim (which was no picnic, buncha individual buds), it seemed to reek even more than usual. It's a perfect solution to your issue.
