Red/purple hard stems Need help

As title says what causes this only thing ive changed is the light ive gone from using a 400w mh to an 8x54w t5 unit i will try and put a pic up tomorrow anyone got any ideas or point me in the right direction will do full parameter check tomorrow too

in most cases there are 3 reasons.... either its genetically (like with most or alot of pehnotypes from the blue family), or the plant is becomming phosphorous deficient (leads to purple stem to), or it's the temperature (10 or more degrees celisius difference in the ambience between light on and lights off, sometimes induces the anthocyanin (purple pigment) production).

al investigate those areas thanks might be temps pal my little fan broke/melted very lucky i spotted it was red hot so i do have a +10 degree swing new fan should be here tomorrow cant even take cuts with razor blade stems are rock hard

sorry to hear bro! (the melted fan)... thats why always, use stronger wireing then neccessery, and always let equipment run for 24h + while youre around -> (to prevent such stuff), and from time to time, clean the ventilators and intake/outtake fans... (including some oiling)...

and yeah i forgot one thing! could also be an ph value isssue!!! at lower ph values (5,5 - 5,7) phosphorous aint being absorbed as well as with "higher" ph values (6,0 - 6,5)...
