why not just add a few drops on lemon juice to the tap water? you should be able to get it to the 5-6 range. bottled water works fine also.

i use the 2.5 gallon jugs from walmart. my tap is 450ppm and 9ph

anyway, i plan on building in the area in the next year, so an RO system will be purchased at that time...

in the meantime, check my LED veggie grow link in my sig. using bottled water in my two dwc tubs... :good:

i use tap water thats way worse the ppm and ph is both high.with organics its not much of an issue.the ferts i use drop the ph . so i feed every watering at reduced rates and the ferts drop the ph on their own . no need for ph adjusters. bottled aint an option for me . way too much work

a bottle of ph down is pretty cheap and last for quite a while.if your ppms arent really high too high then jsut add ph down. i havent used the lemon juice but from what i read lemon juice is some what unstable in compared to phdown but will work in a pinch.either way best of luck.

Do newb computers not have periods?
pH is expressed as a numeral and decimal (6.5). Not 6,5.

a lot of other countries use a comma instead of a period...

Zukinjo, tap water is ok when you first start out. think about the hastle to purchase your water over the counter.

This isn't your first time around the block. If you really want to improve your water then spend a small amount of money on a filter system (not RO) such as the Small Boy filter system with a KDF carbon filter that removes chloromine and chlorine from your tap water. No sales pitch. Check it out....

It was one of my "friends" greatest expenses. Think about all the money we waste on organic/microbe products and then we are stupid enough to mix them with chloromine/chlorine tap water. If you want to see the true potential in you organic grow, then filter your water, and "DON'T" kill you beneficials.
