Sonofabitch.

A tree in my back yard blew into the power line (the pole itself!) and KABLAMMO'd on Saturday night. Now I have no power! .. AAaaaaand, neither does the rest of my block. :D

But, really, it sucks. I was hoping to take this last Headband to day 70-75, .. But it looks like I may have to just take'r about nowish, which is about day 66..

Anyone have any experience in longish-term power outages? It's been about 18 hours with no light, .. At this point, .. Is it worth it for me to hold out for the power, and leave'er cook for a few more days?

Fantastic. Got confirmation that power is expected to be restored by tomorrow, between 9:30 - 11:30 PM.

That means the flowering HB will have had 5 days of no light. (Well, little-to-no light..)

I've been sketched to put it near a window, where it can get SOME light, since I've had all manner of power company folk coming and going outside of the house..

Hold out 'til the power comes back on, or just yank'er now?!

If your a few days outof light, you could wait it out then turn lights back on, but not sure if this will encourage hermies due to light interuption?

If it's only a once off light change you might be right to keep going. I usually let em sit in the dark a day or two before pulling em' up, that just my preference.

Thanks for weighing in! The hermie (stress of any kind) thing is what's got me wondering if I should just cut my losses [down - ha!], or if it's worth it to see if it'll keep going, ..

My concern is that the plant may not hop right back into its flowering mode (not to be confused with HARD MODE) when the lights come back on, ..

it was five days without power? i would go ahead and chop, they would be sooo confused if you flipped the HIDs back on.

keep in mind, i am not a professional. this is simply, like, my opinion man ;-)

i had something similar but it was bad was only a full 24hrs of darkness late in flowering....um, around day 60 of a 65day strain. i let it go for the last couple days as normal. fgood luck. ill be watching

I'd say keep an eye on em, but let em go. If they've been getting "Some" light on the correct cycle the plant is probably just waiting for the storm clouds to blow away ;)

If she starts throwing nanners everywhere, chop chop chop!

Thanks for the input! It occurred to me last night that I oughtta check the environmental situation, .. And, wouldn't y'know it, the RH in the tent was about 62%. That did not make me happy.

Soo, I decided I'd just chop the f*cker down, .. Which I did. :dunno: We shall see..

The leaves on this one looked just lousy - lots of SM abuse to 'em, ..

The last HB harvest still smells hay-y, .. I'm not too thrilled about that.

This batch, however, seems to have more of a reefer-y stink to it, ..

Budman, porn to follow in the next couple days, just for you. :) ANYTHING for my good visitors. ;)

Update-band

Update-band

Update!

So I picked the SOG-stylee Headband last Tuesday, .. Dried 'til Sunday morning (between on the rack & in a paper bag), .. Stuck in a jar thereafter.

Was at about 68% RH today, after having left the jar open for most of the day.. In short, it was on the wet-end. Not WET, but moist, for shore.

Anyway. I'm fairly bummed in the sex appeal of the last HB crop, on a few levels.. The buds don't seem to be as swollen as they could be, .. There are bits of vermiculite here-and-there -- nothing major, but enough that on the bigger buds :D it can be a pain in the ass to pick that shit out.. It still smells fairly hay-y..

BUT. Still VERY stoney. For shore. Just not, .. *sigh* Sexy. :dunno:

Hoping some of that sex appeal (stink) will improve over time..

This latest batch, though, smoked a bit on the wet end..

TASTED LIKE DA BOMB!

Burned kinda shiatty, and I just smoked some QWISO before the wettish HB, so I'm not the bestest baseline judge at this point.. But..

Thanks hazy! Everything turned our marvy, .. Unfortunately, I lost the cut of Green Candy I had - that was probably my most flavorite to grow (and smoke!).

Tune in for the next round! All new varieties (save for a rerun of the Headband)

:yeahthats

I was snooping around in here for some reference, and had the new thread opened in another tab, .. So if you'll look at last night's post in the new thread, .. Well. I made that entire post in THIS thread first.

Came back to remove the post from this (the old) thread, and it won't lemme remove the ENTIRE post, .. Gotta have some text.. :joint:
