i wanna build me 1-3 boxes to reach a 2lb/harvest outcome....thought u guys could help me with blueprints or a equipment list

Well under ideal conditions, (once your grow and strains are dialed in mind you) you should be able to pull close to 1 GPW.

448 Grams per Lb means that a 1000 W HPS should be able to get you 1000 Grams, minus a bit for a "safety margin".

I would say you would only want a space about 4' x 4' for a 1k light. Also, I think for maximum yield, you may want to look at going with a vertical based set up. Hydro too.

484 Grams per Lb, and a little less than 1 Gram per Watt is reasonable. A 4' x 4' footprint is probably enough space.

5x5 space per pound is easily attainable. buy a 5x10 tent and 2lbs, easy... 2 1000s

After reading the numbers being thrown around I grabbed a calculator and some records... Over the last 5 months the average of the main budroom has been .93 grams per watt.
Damn, you guys are good.

So much for being special with 150 watts/square foot, yield turns out the same anyway.

Just a minor point of info - l pound = 454 grams -granger

Thought 448 grams is a pound. 28 grams in a ounce, 4 ounces = 112 grams

112 x 4 = 448

1 pound = 16 ounces

16 ounces = 453.59237 grams

btw i think ill go either with building my own box (where i would have a max size of 5' long 3' high 1,6'deep with a small clone/mom area and a 400w hps for flowering ) what i prefer

or a homebox L with a 600w HPS

A 4x4 tent for mothers and vegging.
A 5x10 for flowering with 2-3k in light.
You will easily get large numbers.

just finished setting up my 3x7 closet with 2 600w and i think once dialled I could hit 2 pounds... 1 1/2 for sure I think.... just need my 4x4 veg now...

oh ya about the pound/gram amount... I always laughed when a buddy of mine picked up and was soooo stoked the dealer over weighed the pound.... I tried explaining but he didnt get it.

448 technically isn't a pound but its a "pound"... personally i feel every large bag should be over weighted to compensate for sticks and god forbid weight loss from drying out more.... 454 is the weight if slanging a whole p... broken up into littles the left over grams is the decimal points left over added up... i think.

I remember for some reason back in my day when I was much younger (still kinda young) an ounce was 30g's off most peeps i bought... but that was mid 90's.... i was little and dumb.

anyway good luck with 2 p's a show, thats my goal too.

Sure its obtainable but realistically you will need perfect conditions for an indoor grow in a box now if you were doing an outdoor grow you could easily surpass that desire.

They were probably measuring it in troy ounces.

find a good mom. practice. THEN draw conclusions using what you've learned about your specific strain and equipment to double it, triple it, whatever.

I'm not gonna draw blueprints for ya, buddy...do some studying, get some experience, draw up your own set of blueprints...post em here, and I'll be happy to help you modify them or give you tips.

4x4 with 6 foot in height min. should get you what you want with a 1k bulb.
