Good and bad news.

I already spoke with Karma about it but as many know I just had a very bad root aphid infestation that took down my whole grow and threatened all my parental stock. I just moved to a new state and the first two grows have been plagued by thrips, mites, and then root aphids...

Needless to say I have a lot of chemical weapons in my locker now I did not before...Losing two harvests and moving costs me my current grow house though, but recent events have opened up an opportunity to continue to grow in a house for 5 months with 4k watts. While I will not have internet for the first 2 months I have managed to save every White OG test plant. At the time they were small and I was worried they were going to be killed because they were showing root aphid damage in the leaves.

So when I get a chance this grow will be completed. Sorry you guys will have to wait it's just been some really bad luck here on my side.

Yea sorry this was a complete disaster to me and many others, but there's a lot bigger glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel than there was a week ago. I will come back better out of this not layin down and dieing.

Saved them they look beautiful 7 females I believe 10 days into flowering

The aphids came back this round of flowering again but I used 4 different pesticides this time instead of 1 and it knocked them out. All mag deficiency disappeared in last 2 days so this is awesome news looks like nothing ever touchedem...

will be able to post pics soon

For aphids which I found to be 100x more damaging and hard to kill than mites I used:

Azamax @ 20 ML a gallon

Merit 75 @ 1/2 TSP per gallon

Pyrethrin Spray Concentrate at recommended dose. Any of the pyrethrin concentrates are good. Measurements vary according to brand. Monterey's take down will work too its .5 pyrethrin which is much more than anything offered at any local stores. USE IT AS A SOIL DRENCH (for aphids)!

Pyrethrum foggers twice 5-7 days apart.

I did this twice a couple of days apart and I have seen 0 root aphids for several days now.

Originally I was using only merit 75. I would have liked to believe that all the reports I read saying it was all you needed were true but this was not the case. Use all 4 on these SOB's. I bet a lot of people out there who get mag deficiency every time no matter what actually have root aphids and not a deficiency. It is a sure sign as well as brown splotches.

I have some sick photos to show you of some roots and 14 day flowering plants :D The roots look like a solid block of white, lol. I actually had a hell of time getting a plant out of a 1 gallon pot (for a 1 gal pot) and decided to take a look and had to get a knife to open it up!

Also, I have destroyed the aphids I believe haven't seen a single one in hours of of workin in their. I think the 4 different pesticides was a bit much for them just like it took 4 different for the mites until they completely disappeared.

I will post pics tonight sometime and you will see they are pretty damn robust and tall. I definitely see the OGK in all of them and picked up very similar traits shared by the majority. I thought these were slow veggers in the beginning, but I believe it was just the root aphid larvae gnawing away at the roots cuz they just exploded once they got 8~ inches and haven't stopped in flower.

Alright this is the roots of one of the males I trashed at day 8 flowering. These were not very big when I started flowering 12-16 inches I think.

This was square I cut into it those to show thickness.

no shit. amazing. can u say root bound?

I am not even sure it is possible to get plants root bound in coco lol...I have seen many plants with roots like this so far and no side effects. Before the bad aphids my last run even my 3 gal pot ones were like this and they looked fantastic. All of the current ones are spotless so far, but we will see :D
