What's new

60 days into flower(pics) rdy yet?

hey everyone:wave:

this is my first grow ive been using a 400w HPS and although the conditions aint been the best(been kinda hot inside the grow closet during the summer, like 32 sometimes) and im sure ive made many other mistakes ive learned from :good:

anyway this is what they're looking like now and im not sure if should harvest them yet, unfourtunately ive spent enough already and wont be getting a microscope so ill have to go by the looks of it, also i have no info about the flowering time of these trains...

this is, supposedly, a thai haze a grower gave me as present a while back(seeds were 3 years old, since i got em at least)

so here it is, the thai haze, looks like its got a few more days to go at least, right?

and the lower buds....

this is the most indica strain and the one that looks ready the most.....

lower buds...

now this other one was also a present by the same guy, who told me this one was a "indica kush" this one looks kinda ready too lots of red hairs....

so what do yall think? i know the matter of when to harvest is highly important in order to get the best ouf the buds but since im a newbie i can hardly tell :dunno:

also, i just flushed them yesterday was watering with bio bloom and top max and added 3 dosis of pk 13/14 during the cycle, the last one being at least 2 weeks ago.... dont wanna get any funky flavors either....:)

anyway thanks in advance of the help as always this forum has been very helpful and ive learned lots of stuff from reading tons of threads on here....

peace and good vibes yall!:dance013:

The top one looks a few weeks away...the bottom one maybe another week...

Need a jewelers loupe to check trichs.

The top one has very sativa leaves and structure...probably gonna go for a while longer...

Yeah I agree the top one needs time still. The others should be within the harvest window in a week.

hey aksala, thx for the quick reply but like i said unfourtunately i already went way already my budget on this and i wont be buying any loupes or 'scopes :(

scrappy-doo, ty man, that means it gives them time to "drink" water only from the recent flush and hopefully wash away any nasty flavors from the PK....
also if they're gonna be ready in a week, i shouldn't water them anymore, right???

btw, i was thinking of cutting the main colas first and let the lower buds a few more days see if they fully devolp cause the lowest lower one look really weak and undeveloped... ty!!

Sure you can water them when they need it. No harm in that. You could also feed that top one a little if you're going to wait a few weeks before you chop it. Judging by the leaves she could use some food.

Some people like to put their plants in total darkness for the last 2 or 3 days before chop.

hmmkay cool.... see, i think i read somewhere that it was best not to water during the last few days before harvest, apparantly according to what i read, it shoots off trichs when they're in a dry enviroment and was easier later to dry cause the plant had less water in it....

i guess ill just give them a lil bit if they show sign of thirs :p

anyway ty man

Hey dude, please take my advice, from noob to noob. Fight all temptation to cut. As a noob its always the case of ...posting online and asking if ready, and some Vets say a few more weeks, then the noob comes back and posts that he cut anyway.
Fight ze temptation......if alot of these expierenced dudes have said a couple/few weeks and they have said " buy a jewlers loop"...something...then do it.

I see them for 20 bucks or less. In those few weeks of waiting for harvest u can find 20 bucks... No excuse. Does a Carpenter not have a hammer with him on jobs? Get a loop.

Everytime someone asks this same stuff. People come back with " do you have a loop?" Usual response is, "no". Get a loop, your buds will tell you in most cases.

This coming from a noob, trust me dude..when us noobs wanna cut. It usually means 2 more weeks lol But in all seriousness, you need that tool( loop) to finish the roof:tiphat:

Hell man I'd give you my scope. I bought it like 3 years ago and never use it. Once you go a couple rounds you just know when they're ready. Just my opinion. Save your money. Post more pics in a week and we'll let you know.

But if temptation is an issue, there's no harm in chopping off a bud or 2 for a taste :)

Do this, and never learn to be self reliant. Sure post pics, but at the same time cross refrence with your loupe and people who know a thing or two give input.

ganjaman,
Skip McDs for one meal, hit dealextreme and get some magnification. You can find something for less that $6 delivered.

now its time to take notes. you might like a more 'up' high or are looking for a more 'body' stone. figure out what you like now and track the days. be methodical about this; measure twice, cut once. good luck to you
