DD - we will assume that you'll be playing with between 3-5 plants, so LST method (low stress training) will be best. This might involve topping the plants prior to them being placed into 12/12 and some training of the main branches).

no, LST does not involve any "topping", pruning, cutting etc.

Misty are nice compact plants that will be ideal in ya set-up :D

sure.. if you stop fertilising them 3 weeks before harvest like you do!!

Dispite all the shit that's being slung around, Docleaf is Always here to help people grow their own ... t'is my quest... simple as that,,, nothing changes these ends... just ask.

that's nice and all.. but not when you're out spreading false information, such as that people should flush/stop fertilising 3 weeks before harvest. what nonsensical bullshit!!

Sorry I just realised that you require more help than Devious D

:chin:
sure it does. the key words in my quote was the word "This might require topping". In veg, under LST, plants can do all-sorts of things (the stress you see), ask anyone that has ever grown SCROG! some branches shoot off more than others, some over-grow the box, or grow in an unwanted direction/ These branches may be twisted (super-cropped), nipped in the bud (topped) and or chopped off completely, whilst still maintaining the low stress training with the majority of the growing heads...

ask a question, get an answer you might not like, huh

peace one and all

DocLeaf, who are you trying to fool here? you know very well that LST is LST and does not involve supercropping, topping etc. LST is LST, LST and supercropping/topping is LST and supercropping/topping. LST involves tying branches down. it does not involve anything else, or t is not strictly LST.

back to the basics.

sure, then please don't tell people that LST involves topping, supercropping etc.

so we clear on this one i take it. crystal clear.

thanks,

HOTC :D

Can you quit this in deviousD's thread?
He is trying to learn to grow here so i dont think he needs this in his thread keep it to pm would ya..

deviousD i use Envirolites for veg and i llove the growth i get from em..iv never heard of anyones catching fire before..iv been using em for nearly two years now..i prefer hps for flower but am goin to be trying em out in smaller set-ups and for flowering males..iv seen quite good results with em.
A decent reflector will go along way too...peace

i don't think this has been said yet so I will say it.

minimum required lumens for 1 square meter in vegg is 15K lumens, in flowering it is 30K lumens

Ideally it should be at 25K+ for vegg and 50K+ for flowering.

If you convert this to a minimum and optimal amount per square foot in flowering, you then need a minimum of 3333 lumens to 5555+ lumens per square foot

Time2unite, urs is retty much the same as mine, like turkish said 4085 lpsf

Highonthechronic:

docleaf has not given out any false info at all. He is a great grower who has taught me a few things too. Now he is telling you how he likes to grow his plants.
I have some methods I like to use too. I bet you have your own.
Doesn't mean every1 will agree on the certain methods.

I for example am completely against blowing air on plants with a fan because I believe it wastes a lot of electricity for no extra benefit and increases male rates when growing seeds.

Doesn't mean I am saying you have to believe this, means I am saying I believe this.

Take it with a pinch of salt and don't go accusing ppl of beeing criminals because of what they believe in.

there is also no right or wrong answer on the topic of flushing. So don't try to enforce your views on us, that is what nazis do

you gotta be kidding me, right? sex is not determined by conditions.. it's determined when the seed is made. just like humans..

i thought fans helped create thicker and stronger stems and promoting better air flow above and undeneath the canopy ?

they do.. having no fans is like having no wind/air movement outside!!

I thought so too.....I also thought that sex isn't "determined" by environment, but can be "influenced" by it? Can anyone else confirm this?
