It's difficult to say how many will show up.

We had big union rally's lined up there, expecting 20,000 people.

I think we hit more like 5,000 and even that was a let down.

i thought it was productive and im pretty sure i heard we had the votes to recall shuette as well.... good things.

We're still a long ways from recalling Scheutte... Still need 800,000 petition signatures to get it put on a ballot for people to vote for his recall.

EVERYONE should be pounding the streets getting signatures in their area.

Yeah that speech was rough, but what was done to him by that corporation is inexcusable. I'm glad it sparked an activist streak in him.

it is funny how the powers that be want to be involved now, where were they when we were putting our initiative together? they did not want any part of fashioning a law, so what did they get? A citizens initiave that leaves a lot of gray areas to those that wish to control and enslave. Seems that as a constitutional amendment it is a little harder to overturn than a law that is enacted with no change to the State Constitution.

yea they never thought wed get it on the ballot so they didnt bother even reading the law... which is why we are having so much problems now... it passed and they all had a O SHIT moment... now they are back tracking trying to make it all fucked like they would have if they would have wrote it.

honestly, when these bills are written, they are crafted with the intention of getting through what they most can, but to not word it such that it would automatically receive huge resistance. it's compromising before the fact... what can we push through that won't stir the resistance too terribly bad? what can we actually get through?

all the goodness of complete legalization is where you start, and come back from there... what will actually get through? it's a compromised document from the get go... getting outta prohibition... a first step.

all are crafted in ways to allow for gray area/wiggle room. if we can't get the actual words out on the first draft, then make it nebulous & push through the specific readings with court rulings.

for example... it wouldn't surprise if the word 'sell/sales' was specifically left out, thinking that 'transfer' & 'compensation' would allow for enough room to effectively argue that these terms include the action of a 'sale', and should thus be protected by the law. we are arguing this now... round 1 we won, round 2 we lost... moving on to round 3.

this is by plan.

Schutte was a rep at some point before he ran for AG. I thought he was one of the anti's draftin this law as we have it..

i think what has them pissed off is they see all the loot and neither they nor their cronies are getting all of it, and that pisses them off.

If you guys remember that guy talking about Kalamazoo and an initiative to permit up to 3 dispensaries for the City of Kalamazoo he said they didn't accept all the signatures but that has changed and will be on the ballot in November. So if that passes it will be defining Dispensary for at least Kalamazoo and could be a good frame work for the rest of the state to work off of.

I just read an article about that yesterday. Apparently they do now have enough signatures, however, it wont make the ballot in November. They are planning on sueing the city of Kzoo over it.
